Australian dark folk/blackgaze project SULDUSK, founded by the gifted Emily Highfield, released their debut album, ‘Lunar Falls’ in 2019, impressing the masses, including Napalm Records, who signed them to their roster in 2023. Now, with the sophomore release titled, ‘Anthesis’, they are continuing to enthral and expand their unique and fascinating sound, which covers dark folk, prog, doom, blackgaze and black metal elements, a wild and eclectic mix!

Apocalyptica Plays Metallica Vol. 2 will continue the journey that began in 1996 when cellists from Helsinki’s world-renowned Sibelius Academy played symphonic tribute to the biggest of the big four–heavy metal titans Metallica. For their ninth record the classically-minded dynamos are returning to their roots to bring a legendary story full circle.
In a Danish music context, COPENHELL presents a completely unique and historical concert this year when the legends from SORT SOL visit the festival on Saturday evening. Sparks will fly in the summer night when Danish punk rock’s grand old men go on stage with a more than 40 year long and versatile career behind them.
SORT SOL has been an important pillar of the Danish rock scene ever since the early days in the punk band Sods in the late ’70s, up through the ’80s towards their great mainstream breakthrough with the hit album ‘Glamourpuss’ in 1992 – and further on towards 2001’s ‘Snakecharmer’ and the following long hiatus before the band returned to form with their most recent album, ‘Stor langsom stjerne’ in 2017.
Following much speculation online, BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE and TRIVIUM have revealed details of a huge, joint arena tour at a press conference which was streamed live from London’s Sanctum Hotel. The Poisoned Ascendancy UK Tour 2025 will see both bands celebrating the 20th anniversary of these respective iconic albums, playing them in full.
“I honestly can’t believe it’s been 20 years since the release of The Poison, and what an incredible 20 years it’s been”, says BFMV frontman Matt Tuck. “I feel so proud of what we’ve achieved as a band in the last two decades and it all started with that debut album. ThePoison is such an important part of our lives musically and personally and we know the massive impact it had on the metal world on a global level. This tour will be made even more special as our brothers in Trivium are also joining us on the road to celebrate and play in its entirety their stunning album Ascendancy.”
‘The Serpent and the King’ sees Judas Priest at their heavy metal best, with what is without doubt the most fist pumping track on the album. The single will launch as Apple Music’s New Music Daily along with an exclusive interview with Rob Halford and Zane Lowe. The band have been teasing snippets of the song on socials for over a month, whipping fans into a frenzy for its release.
Anette Olzon, the former powerhouse vocalist of Nightwish and one-half of the dynamic duo behind The Dark Element alongside Jani Liimatainen, is back with her highly anticipated third solo album, “Rapture.”
The first single and accompanying music video, “Heed the Call,” from “Rapture” is out today, offering a tantalizing taste of what’s to come from this highly anticipated release.
