Dates, Destination & Ship Announced for 70000TONS OF METAL 2024


The 70000TONS OF METAL festival organizers have announced that the twelfth edition of the floating festival will sail on January 29th to February 2nd from Miami, Florida – Cruise Capital of the World – to Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic and back, on board the luxury passenger vessel Freedom of the Seas.

The festival will once again host 60 Heavy Metal bands spanning all subgenres and welcome 3000 metalheads from around the world.

ALCEST announce “Les Voyages de l’âme” reissues


In a close cooperation, ALCEST and Prophecy Productions are reissuing the French blackgaze pioneers‘ milestone release and third studio full-length “Les Voyages de l’âme”. The album was originally released on January 6, 2012. Due to production shortages and the complex nature of manufacture, these special reissues will come out some months past the initially planned date of release in connection to their 10th anniversary. The reissues have been slated to April 28, 2023:

Metal band Koitos from Finland release new third single from the upcoming debut album


Finnish metal newcomer Koitos released a third single “Virtaa” (eng.”Flows“), from the upcoming debut album. Song has more dynamics and it includes crushing riffs but also a delicate clean singing with a mellow piano.

“The upcoming album deals with loneliness from many different angles. But in this song not in such a traditional way. The narrator of the song hides his mistakes under a hard shell, which emerges as crappy behavior towards others. In the end, people disappear around the narrator and he’s left to lick his wounds in solitude,” describes the theme of the song by vocalist Matti Hiitti.

Atreyu announce new EP + share single/video ‘Watch Me Burn’ shot by Aaron McKenzie of While She Sleeps


Atreyu releases Watch Me Burn” today alongside the video and announces the new EP, The Hope Of A Spark, due April 21 via Spinefarm.

The video, directed by Aaran McKenzie, bassist of While She Sleeps, features English actor Leigh Gill (JokerGame of ThronesFantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them).
