On June 12, 2026 at 3:00 PM local time in Donington, we will once again gather to celebrate our friend, our brother, and one of rock ’n’ roll’s greatest icons, Lemmy Kilmister, at the legendary Download Festival.
As part of the ongoing Lemmy Forever initiative, a special ceremony will take place at the onsite Lemmy’s Lounge, where a miniature of Lemmy’s custom urn containing a portion of some of his ashes will be enshrined in a vessel which represents one of Lemmy’s true loves in life, and something which went on the road with him too, a place he would undoubtedly have approved of — the classic fruit machine.
BLOODSTOCK, by arrangement with Motörhead management, have announced that the legendary, late, great Lemmy Kilmister will be permanently memorialised at the heavy metal festival. Some of Lemmy’s ashes will be housed at BLOODSTOCK – one of only a few places globally – in a unique urn, with the festival commissioning a Bust of Lemmy to incorporate the ashes. Fans will be able to view the installation and pay tribute to Lemmy and his legacy in the RAM Gallery on site. Once the festival is over, the Bust of Lemmy will move to Nottingham’s Rock City venue, where fans will have access to the ashes; they will return each and every year to their primary home on the hallowed turf of BLOODSTOCK at Catton Park.
Today PHIL CAMPBELL AND THE BASTARD SONS release their third album Kings Of The Asylum via Nuclear Blast Records. To celebrate the release the band have unveiled a vibrant new live video for the track ‘Strike The Match’.

“Greedy Bastards” is the second rare gem found in the recording session vaults for the 23rd (and final) studio album, Bad Magic in 2015. Instantly hailed as one of the best albums the beloved trio had recorded in many years, Bad Magic: SERIOUSLY BAD MAGIC is the ultimate bumper reissue, including the only recently released stomper “Bullet In Your Brain”, as well as a snarling, fangs-out live performance from the Bad Magic tour at the giant MtFuji Festival in Japan in 2015.
