Finnish sextet NIGHTWISH recently announced their ninth studio album HUMAN. :II: NATURE. due tobe released on 10th April 2020. The record will be a double album containing 9 tracks on the main CD and one long track, divided into eight chapters on CD 2. Former HIM vocalist Ville Valo has returned with a new 3 song EP titled ‘Gothica Fennica Vol. 1’ released under the name of simply VV.
HIM fans rejoice as the 3 songs bare a resemblance to Ville’s former love metal sound which made HIM so popular. The EP features the following tracks: “Salute The Sanguine”, “Run Away From The Sun” and “Saturnine Saturnalia”.
Recently, Finnish singer/ bassist Marko Hietala released his solo album ‘Pyre Of The Black Heart’ via Nuclear Blast. The album has entered the charts and reached #48 in Germany, #25 in Switzerland and #10/#2(physical) in Finland and today, the band release a live video for their cover version of BLACK SABBATH‘s ‘War Pigs’, that was recently recorded in Prague.
