The Danish heavy rock phenomenon FOREVER STILL just finished their big European tour with LACUNA COIL, but the road is also awaiting them in 2017 and now the band announced their first festival shows for this spring/summer – including the big Sabaton Open Air in Sweden that once again takes places in August!
In addition, FOREVER STILL now reveal their music video ‘Break The Glass’, that the band worked out in collaboration with their fans – singer Maja Shining comments: “When we started thinking about making a new music video, we decided, it would be fun to have our fans involved in it. We’ve always had a really close relationship with our fans and see them more like friends than fans, so we decided to have them choose the song and write the story with us and this is the result. Hope you enjoy it!”

Thrash Metal outfit HAVOK have unleashed another new track off their upcoming record, “Conformicide”, which will be released on march 10th, 2017 via Century Media Records. The song, titled “Ingsoc”, is the longest running on the new album and lyrically takes heavy influence from the classic George Orwell novel, 1984.
Speaking about “Ingsoc”, HAVOK lead guitartist Reece Scruggs states: “This is one of my favorite tracks on the record, and a bit left field compared to most HAVOK tracks. Full of slamming riffs and burning lines; it’s still 100% us but a bit progressive. I fully believe this song display the best in each of us and comes together to be a ripper!”
Adding his thoughts on the writing and thematics behind the song, David Sanchez (vocals, guitar) comments: “1984 takes place in a socialist hell wherein there is perpetual war, government-sanctioned propaganda, massive gaps between the rich and poor, and “Big Brother” spies on every citizen. It appears that Orwell was not just a novelist, but a prophet; as “Ingsoc” has become all too real. War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength.”

In the shop for almost three years, HAVOK’s “Conformicide” is undoubtedly their “Master of Puppets” or “Rust in Peace” moment. HAVOK are embarking on their first headlining tour of the year in North America as part of the build up to “Conformicide” next week. Brooklyn hard rock legends LIFE OF AGONY have completed work on their new album and Napalm Records debut A Place Where There’s No More Pain. The album will be released April 28th via Napalm Records. After a long wait, it is finally time to unleash the first taste of new music from LOA.
“We have a long history of connecting to our fans on an emotional level through our words and music,” says bassist/lyricist Alan Robert.“And that’s why I think there’s something really relevant and timeless about the message behind the title track, ‘A Place Where There’s No More Pain’. It’s about facing your problems head-on in order to find peace within yourself. A topic that really hits home for a lot of our fans struggling with their own demons. Finnish progressive death metal outfit BARREN EARTH is currently preparing to record the follow-up to 2015’s “On Lonely Towers” at Woodshed Studios in March with producer V. Santura.
Vocalist Jón comments, “We are working towards a darker and more aggressive feel, which we attempt to express both experimentally and with a good dose of blunt force!”
Bassist Oppu adds, “The melodic and melancholic side is naturally still there, but spiced with a touch of anger and groove. I’m also looking forward of working with Victor, since we all appreciate his previous work. It also is the first time Barren Earth works with a proper producer, and are very excited about the idea of bringing somebody else into the mix and seeing where that takes us.”
This is how V. Santura comments on the cooperation: “I am really excited about working with Barren Earth! The guys are fantastic musicians and the demo material I’ve heard so far sounds very promising.”
