Cradle of Filth share lyric video for remixed and remastered version of ‘Lustmord And Wargasm (The Lick Of Carnivorous Winds)’

Ahead of the reissue of Cradle of Filth’s heavy metal classic, ‘Cruelty and the Beast’ on 1st November through Music For Nations, the band have shared a lyric video for the re-mistressed version of ‘Lustmord And Wargasm (The Lick Of Carnivorous Winds)’. Dani Filth comments,
“We chose this song as a first snifter of the beast, as it’s a perfect example of the ‘Re-mistressed’ rerelease.
In truth we could’ve chosen any of the tracks from the album, but went with ‘Lustmord And Wargasm (The Lick Of Carnivorous Winds) as it has everything dripping in spades; blast beats, luscious melodies, a massive epic dropdown section, eerie orchestration, hardcore riffs and a vicious bite that will rip your f**king face clean off.

And the lyric video… well it’s a lyric video. It’s a video with lyrics, albeit the epilogue of an epic tale concerning the Hungarian Blood Countess Elizabeth Bathory.
So. turn it up to eleven, recline back in your bath of warm virgin’s effluent and let this awesome new mix of our classic album steal away with your immortal soul!

Denn die toten reiten schnell.
For the dead travel fast…..”

Women in Metal: Crushing the Stereotype One Riff at a Time is a music film/documentary by Bruce Moore of Brutally Delicious Productions.

Bruce himself says:
“It is finally here. A lot of hard work went into this film and I sincerely hope you dig it.
Please follow the link below for viewing options and remember to please check out & support the bands in this film.

I can remember at school in the 1970s, friends buying Roxy Music albums mainly for their album covers, and I am old enough to remember Cher when she remembered to put her dress on over her underclothes before she came out onto the stage to perform.

Still, time moves on and even now we have any number of female musicians who are an integral part of the Heavy Metal scene. Not just as singers, but guitarists and drummers as well. We were able to catch up with a number of musicians to find out what attracted them to the hard and heavy music world and if they had a story of how they took the plunge, what challenges they faced, and how things have changed, or if they have at all.”

Download Festival is the UK’s biggest, friendliest and most diverse rock/metal festivals and it gets bigger and better each year. This year particularly had a strong theme of environmental sustainability, with their new recycling scheme for beer glasses, using plastic reusable cups which you could keep and reuse or give back and made for a nice memento along with the introduction of Greenpeace’s Eco Campsite. Viewing platforms for wheelchair-users were available across all stages and British Sign Language interpreters on two, again highlighting the festivals diversity and how it accommodates for everyone which is great to see.
