Download Festival UK have finally revealed some of the first acts of 2019, including all 3 headliners, which are DEF LEPPARD (ONLY UK APPEARANCE OF 2019 – PERFORMING ‘HYSTERIA’ IN ITS ENTIRETY & MORE), SLIPKNOT and TOOL.
UK Thrashers ONSLAUGHT will unveil their new line up on the mainstage at ‘Bloodstock Festival’ Catton Hall, Derbyshire, on Friday 10th August.
Longstanding members NigeRockett, Sy Keeler & Jeff Williams will be joined by James Perry (drums) and Wayne Dorman (guitar).
NigeRockett comments:
“The band is genuinely sounding more powerful and aggressively focused than ever before! James has been a great friend of the band for many years and is one hell of a drummer, a complete thrashing machine, so solid and lighting fast.
Download Festival is the UK’s biggest, friendliest and most diverse rock/metal festivals and it gets bigger and better each year. This year particularly had a strong theme of environmental sustainability, with their new recycling scheme for beer glasses, using plastic reusable cups which you could keep and reuse or give back and made for a nice memento along with the introduction of Greenpeace’s Eco Campsite. Viewing platforms for wheelchair-users were available across all stages and British Sign Language interpreters on two, again highlighting the festivals diversity and how it accommodates for everyone which is great to see.
UK’s biggest rock/metal festival is fast approaching so we take a look at just some (there are too many to list) of our highlights of this awesome music weekend that is not to be missed on the 8-10th June….
The first most notable highlight, of course, has to be the three headliners:
Mammothfest UK have added INGESTED as main support to already announced headliners Decapitated along with other new bands: Dead Witches, Cypercore, Forgotten Remains and more.
