THE OFFSPRING Release new album ‘SUPERCHARGED’


Today, punk rock legends The Offspring have released their high energy album SUPERCHARGEDThe album, produced by the band’s longtime collaborator Bob Rock, was recorded in Maui, Vancouver and Huntington Beachand is available via Concord Records. Listen to SUPERCHARGED HERE.

Progressive metallers Oceans Of Slumber are back, armed with their new sixth album, ‘Where Gods Fear To Speak’, their heaviest and most ambitious opus yet and their first under-label, Season of Mist. I spoke to vocalist Cammie Beverly four years ago in 2020 (read here), during the COVID lockdown/pandemic, when they were releasing the self-titled Oceans Of Slumber album, which remains one of my favourite albums, so it was great to speak to her again about the upcoming new release coming out 13th September, which will hopefully earn them their rightful place in the metal scene as they continue to expand and go from strength to strength with each album and ‘Where Gods Fear To Speak’ is immense musically, structurally and conceptually and will undoubtedly be one of my top album releases of the year. Swedish legends OPETH are pleased to reveal that their 14th studio album, The Last Will & Testament, is set for release on October 11, 2024 via Moderbolaget / Reigning Phoenix Music. It is 5 long years since their last album – 2019’s In Cauda Venenum – and also marks 30 years of the esteemed, creative band.

To celebrate, Opeth have shared its first single, “§1” – now available on all DSPs here. Prior to today’s worldwide announcement, the album was teased yesterday exclusively for attendees at Wacken Open Air 2024 in conjunction with the band’s performance at the illustrious festival.
