DAY 2 – THURSDAY

Thursday was a much more interesting day for me at the main stages. I am not so into thrash metal. I practically never listen to it at home, but when I am somewhere, I usually enjoy it. And thanks to my friend Marek, who owns many old casettes at home, Exhorder was suggested to me. As I know only some known big names this was totally new to me. Hell, this was great. Superb music, entertaining musicians. Many compare this band to Pantera, many say Pantera has even been influences by Exhorder who have been playing since the 80’s. Many fans are having a beef between each other. No matter what, this is highly recommended even if their last albums are from early 90’s.

INTRODUCTION, GOOD & BAD

Once again, one of the biggest metal festivals from Czech is over and here is the report about some of its music and organization. As mainly a photographer and not pure journalist, take it with a grain of salt with my subjective approach and taste in music more based towards black metal and atmospheric stuff overall.

The festival was held officially from August 8th-11th, but there was a small warm up party the day before with Suicidal Tendencies headlining. Unfortunately, I arrived at midnight so it was all over and by the time I unpacked my stuff, did quick town visit for some beer and then get some sleep in a four-wheel coffin.

Doom Metal act DRIFT INTO BLACK Release New Single\lyric Video

New Jersey’s Doom Metal act DRIFT INTO BLACK has just completed their first full length album entitled “Dead Suns Under the Forever Moon” to be released October 12th on Digipak CD as well as all streaming services.

“This is a concept album about absolute cold revenge by being used as the devil’s puppet” Craig Rossi says. “How much revenge is too much? Do two wrongs make a right? When all of that rage, adrenaline is gone and there’s nothing left, can you feel normal again? Was it all worth it?”.

The first single “Death From Above” can be heard below accompanied with a lyric video. The track can also be downloaded from the band’s Band Camp page (link below)
