A Story Inspired Release New Single Featuring Ryan Kirby from Fit For A King

Buffalo-based post-hardcore band A Story Inspired has released a new single from their forthcoming EP Overcome/Overthrow. The glitchy, synth-infused metal track “Weak Willed” originally premiered with Revolver Magazine and features Fit For A King‘s Ryan Kirby on guest vocals. The song is an ode to an issue that has impacted more than one member of the band.

“This track is about drug overdose and self-harm,” says guitarist Ryan Ridley. “Within the past few years, many of the guys in ASI have had good friends and loved ones pass away due to drug overdose. The heartbreaking feeling of losing those close to you because of this isn’t one that is unfamiliar to us and I’m sure to many of our fans and friends, as well. This is to any of our friends struggling with drug addiction and self-harm.“

Overcome/Overthrow was produced, mixed and mastered by Andrew Baylis (Nine Shrines, Fallen Captive). In addition to Kirby, the record also features a track with Memphis May Fire‘s Matty Mullins on guest vocals. It will be available this Friday (4/28) on all digital retailers.

Nicumo to release sophomore album in July, first single out now!

Since 2009 rolled melancholic metal act Nicumo are about to release their second full length album. Album is titled “Storms Arise” and it will be out on 7.7.2017 through Inverse Records. The first single “Death, Let Go” can be heard on Spotify:

“Storms Arise” follows band’s well reviewed debut “The End of Silence” (2013, Inverse Records) and takes a step towards even more versatile scales of music and emotions. The album contains eleven tracks with unexpected rhythmic elements which will make your head banging, while the melancholic melodies forces you to rise your fist up in the air and cry. Versatile soundscapes mesmerize the listener and takes a hold until the last note. “Storms Arise” strengthens Nicumo’s position on northern metal scene, and gives it a timeless masterpiece to keep the scene alive.

“Storms Arise” was recorded and mixed at Joshua Music -studios during 2016 by Olli Tainio from Lucky Punk Productions, who has worked as an mixing, recording and an assistant engineer in various projects such as Callisto, SAKIA and his own band Blind Architect. Mastered by Svante Forsbäck (e.g. Amorphis, Volbeat, Apocalyptica, Rammstein). The cover arts designed by Hannu Karppinen.

THE ONE HUNDRED REVEAL OFFICIAL VIDEO FOR ‘MONSTER’

THE ONE HUNDRED have revealed a video for ‘Monster’, the second single from their forthcoming album, ‘Chaos + Bliss’. The clip was recently filmed in part at a nineteenth century fort in Rochester, Kent and features the most kick-ass of nightmare slayers!

‘Chaos + Bliss’, The One Hundred’s debut studio album, will be released via Spinefarm Records on June 2^nd 2017.

The One Hundred are also imminently heading out on their full debut headline tour kicking off May 1^st in Southampton; from here, the band continue across the UK, then out to France and Germany.

Return To Void released their debut album today!

Return To Void, a progressive rock/heavy band, was established in Karhula, Finland in 2015. List of another projects of the band members, past and present, includes varied outings like Kaihoro, Total Devastation, Manitou, Kreyskull, Gran Torino, Demonic Death Judge.

The winter 2015-2016 was productive time. Full album of songs was composed and rehearsed with ease. Off to the Studio Korkeakoski. There they recorded all drums with help of Studio Korkeakoski’s main man Teemu Aalto. The rest was done at the singer’s Railroad Records headquarters.

Their self-titled debut album is released today (April 26th 2017). Listen to the album on Spotify:

The band is currently working on their second album which is recorded later in the summer.

The second single of the German veterans BLACK HAWK – “Just Like In Paradise” was released on Soundcloud. The release date of the new BLACK HAWK album „The End Of the World“ on CD is May 19th, 2017. The pre-order phase will start on May 5th, 2017 in our webshop.

The German classic Metal band BLACK HAWK is back! 4 years after „A mighty Metal Axe“ a new album is ready! „The end of the world“ is as true teutonic Metal as you expect it from BLACK HAWK!

Original Heavy Metal which could have been done in 1987 is still the main subject of the band, but of course with an up to date freshness in all parts of the songs. Great melody lines beside heavy guitars and a superbe production will not need more comments. Try it and then you will buy it!
