Virginia Beach, VA’s ARSIS, a standout in the technical, melodic death metal genre, has signed a worldwide record deal with Agonia Records, excluding North, South and Central America, in which the band will be released by Nuclear Blast Records. ARSIS has entered Audio Hammer Studio in Florida in late 2017 with producer Mark Lewis (Whitechapel, Devildriver, Cannibal Corpse) to begin work on their 6th studio album, follow-up to “Unwelcome” (2013). NIGHTWISH Release First ‘Decades’ Trailer
Tuomas Holopainen‘s 3-track demo earned him his first record deal with his freshly founded band NIGHTWISHback in 1996. 20 years later, with over 2,000 shows played and more than 8 million records sold – NIGHTWISHare the biggest European symphonic metal band. Reason enough for Nuclear Blast to celebrate this huge anniversary by releasing a 2CD compilation titled Decades, on March 9th, 2018.

OCEANS OF SLUMBER Release Video For New Single ‘The Banished Heart’
Houston-based progressive metal outfit OCEANS OF SLUMBER have released a video for their new single “The Banished Heart”, which is also the title track of the upcoming album to be released on 02 March 2 2018.
The band comments: “As many terrible ups and downs as we’ve had over the years and as hard as 2017 was for some, we have made something we are very proud of. Something we could funnel into the aural and visual, and something that is bound to crush us and you. We made a record that is a window in time. A chronicling of what life was during it and an album we could call home for a bit.”
