Festival Republic have today announced the line-up for the ‘Download Pilot’. The 10,000 capacity, camping only festival will take place on 18-20 June 2021 on the hallowed grounds of Donington Park, as part of the Government’s scientific Events Research Programme. Testament to the depth of talent and strength of the UK’s world-leading rock scene, 40 acts all of whom are UK based have been revealed with headliners Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, Enter Shikari and Bullet For My Valentine as well as a host of the hottest names in rock, including Neck Deep, While She Sleeps, Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls, Sleep Token, Creeper and many more across two stages. The Norwegian Black Metal band SATYRICON meets Edvard Munch’s art. The exhibition Satyricon & Munch explores the intersection of Black Metal and visual art, where a specially composed musical work is connected with a selection of Edvard Munch’s images. When you enter the large hall on MUNCH’s tenth floor, this exhibition will create an atmosphere that opens up new entrances to Edvard Munch’s work, and to SATYRICON’s music.
Festival Republic today confirm that a three-day, 10,000 capacity, camping only festival will take place this June as part of the second phase of the Government’s scientific Events Research Programme. In the true spirit of rock, the ‘Download Pilot’ will take place on 18-20 June 2021 on the hallowed grounds of Donington Park, the home of rock and metal since 1980. Tickets go on sale on Tuesday 1 June for the longstanding loyal existing Download Festival 2022 ticket holders, before general on sale on Thursday 3 June. The full line-up will be announced Friday 28 May.
