Minneriket Release New Single ‘SORG OG SAVN’


Minneriket launched the new single Sorg og savn (Sorrow and yearning) on June 25th and this time with a full line-up of session musicians. Following the successful music video Hjemlengsel (by Valhallartworks) earlier this year, Sorg og savn continues to explore the edges of Black Metal, goth and classical music.

“This upcoming album will be my Stormblåst in terms of relevance” Akslen says. “The album has been a work in progress for years, and I never once backed down from the initial vision. To be able to bring forth a project of this size has been a dream come true, and this single is a taste of what’s to come”.

ENSLAVED reveal ‘Homebound’ live video/single + Cinematic Tour 2020 live releases are out Now


The latest chapter in Enslaved’s 30th anniversary voyage is coming to a close. Today, the Norwegian avant-gardists have released their full Cinematic Tour 2020 live album/DVD collection, and in celebration they have premiered a live video for ‘Homebound’, the final act in this tetralogy of exquisite audiovisual performances.

‘Homebound’ is a snapshot of a unique show, recorded in summer 2020 in Sotra, Norway, encompassing five tracks from Utgard,Enslaved‘s latest studio album. Utgard saw Enslaved inhabit an esoteric space – finding themselves fueled by the pace of their black metal origins, while continuing their melodic evolution.

MAYHEM release new song entitled “Voces Ab Alta” from their upcoming EP


For their upcoming EP “Atavistic Black Disorder / Kommando”, the most notorious black metal band have reflected on their influences by covering songs from bands like Discharge, Dead Kennedys, Rudimentary Peni and Ramones with an impressive bursting and darkened sound.

In addition to the mentioned cover versions, MAYHEM releases a previously unreleased track today called “Voces Ab Alta”, which was recorded during the “Daemon” session.

The video was done by high the praised artwork and video wizard Costin Chioreanu (Ghost, Opeth, Napalm Death) who impressively captured the atmosphere and the darkness of this performance visually!

SATYRICON Announces Collaboration With Munch Museum


The Norwegian Black Metal band SATYRICON meets Edvard Munch’s art. The exhibition Satyricon & Munch explores the intersection of Black Metal and visual art, where a specially composed musical work is connected with a selection of Edvard Munch’s images. When you enter the large hall on MUNCH’s tenth floor, this exhibition will create an atmosphere that opens up new entrances to Edvard Munch’s work, and to SATYRICON’s music.

Pre-listen of HORE “Siostry wiedzmy” DEBUT ALBUM


HORE is a relatively new music project created in 2018. The musicians, although experienced and from well-known bands, decided not to provide any personal details.

For the last three years, the musicians were slowly preparing their debut material. Now, it’s time to reveal that the record, lasting over 30 minutes, is an amalgamation of post-black metal, avant-garde jazz, and film music. Inspired by old folk tales and writings of SłowackiMickiewiczBroniewski, and Goethe, the album “Siostry Wiedźmy” (eng. “Sisters of the Witch“) is an original take on the subject.
