Bullet Height announce release of debut album “No Atonement”

Berlin-based electronic-rock duo Bullet Height, featuring Jon Courtney and Sammi Doll, have announced the release of their debut album ‘No Atonement’ for 19th May 2017 via Superball Music / Sony Music. Featuring the band’s previous two singles ‘Bastion’ & ‘Hold Together’, the album features 10 tracks of dark, primal conviction, pulped with the avant-garde, fusing industrialised electronica, heavy guitars and heartbreakingly sweet melodies.

The band comments: “Making ‘No Atonement’ was both a challenge and an adventure – there were highs & lows, battles & triumphs – but we came out intact. We’re extremely proud of the body of work & can’t wait to get it out there.”

I left London, moved to Berlin, rented a dirt cheap room in an old DDR building and started battering out the music that would go on to become Bullet Height,” says Jon Courtney, speaking about the dispersal of his former band Pure Reason Revolution. “I wanted to produce something darker and heavier than I’d ever created.”

The album is now available to pre-order on CD & limited green vinyl LP, including a signed art-card while stocks last, here:https://bulletheight.tmstor.es/

“I left Los Angeles and moved to Berlin,” Sammi Doll explains. “It was to join IAMX on tour. But when the singer, Chris Corner fell ill, it was cancelled. Which was when I met Jon. Without a direction in a new city, recording this album
granted me the headspace to channel a lot of personal demons into something simultaneously positive, dark and alluring.”

A recording contract with Superball Music (part of the Sony Music group of labels) followed suit and whilst putting the finishing touches to the album, Bullet Height began gigging to an enthusiastic Berlin underground.
“It’s been quite the journey since we’ve completed the album,”comments Sammi Doll. “Everything from the mixes to the forming the live element. It’s shaped into something much bigger than we both expected.” And Courtney concurs. “Now that we’re playing shows it all feels real. We’re excited at the prospect of expanding out from the Berlin scene and getting out there.”

Like the best of artists, fear is the only thing they fear. Free living and creating on their own terms is the fuel in both their tanks. Together they’ve reached Bullet Height. A product of ex-patriot London, set in dissident Berlin. Circa 2017.

Brooklyn hard rock legends LIFE OF AGONY have completed work on their new album and Napalm Records debut A Place Where There’s No More Pain, which will be released April 28th via Napalm Records. Today the first video offering for the album’s title track “A Place Where There’s No More Pain” has been unleashed.   The video was directed by Leigh Brooks of Firebelly Films and was shot predominately in Hamburg, Germany with a few shots from the London show on LOA’s recent European tour.  Video was premiered by  Popmatters.com and you can watch it here. HERE.

“We were looking to capture the raw energy of our live show with the new video for ‘A Place Where There’s No More Pain’, says bassist Alan Robert. “As a longtime LOA fan, Director Leigh Brooks instantly knew exactly what we were going for. He’s been a fan since the early nineties and we finally met at the Electric Ballroom gig in London last year. He shot that show and we immediately became friends. He’s a super talented guy with great vision and a deep passion for this band. He and his crew got pretty banged up shooting this one (laughs). They got right in the pit with their equipment – the poor guys! Leigh was one of the very first people outside of the band to hear the new music and he was completely psyched to be involved.”

Powerful but at the same time seductive, thanks to the voice of the front-girl and bassist Madame Anais Noir, from Italy arrives the soundtrack of Steampunk, a new subculture trend.

Hellbound Hearts have released a video clip for their new song ‘The light we cannot see’

Hellbound Hearts have released a video clip for their new song ‘The light we cannot see’, taken from their forthcoming debut album ‘Film Noir’ (out 7th April)

Hellbound Hearts lead vocalist and guitarist Danny Lambert talks about the songs on ‘Film Noir’:

Suffering the Radio

“The last great period of British music is a fading memory, replaced with an acceptance and almost macabre celebration of staggering mediocrity, formulaic unit shifters and false celebrity. But there are some who will not accept that all hope is lost. We are the vampires scrambling for the blood….”

Online zine ‘One Metal’ describes Hellbound Hearts as, “the kind of music that should be played with high octane and fervent amounts of passion.” With the emergence of their debut album, ‘Film Noir’, the Yorkshire alternative rock trio have solidified the promise shown on previous eps in a fashion that simply shouldn’t be ignored if you’re a rock fan.
Produced by Matt Ellis at Axis Studios (Black Spiders, Terrorvision), ‘Film Noir’ is a commanding collection of songs that range from feel-good melodies to dark, sinister hooks, whilst all the time packing in stand out singalong choruses and heavy grooves.
Be prepared to go dark… ‘Film Noir’ is released 7th April 2017.
