Krysthla reveal minor mystery video and new UK tour dates

Krysthla have revealed ‘The Minor Mystery Of Death’, the third single and official music video from their new album ‘Peace In Our Time’ which is released this Friday, 7th April.

Guitarist Neil Hudson says of the track: “The Minor Mystery Of Death is about embracing the end. Death is an absolute certainty and we’re living lives that seem like they’re going to last forever until it’s too late and your mortality is thrust into your hands. “We’re very precious towards our lives but don’t actually live them.”
Peace In Our Time was influenced by Krysthla’s 2016 European tour with Decapitated – with Hudson revealing that one experience on the road will live with him forever:
“On the Greek border, I saw a refugee girl stood on the other side of the motorway while we were parked up getting fuel. She saw us looking over at the thousands of grubby tents cooking the inhabitants in the scorching heat and fixed her eyes on me for a few seconds. “I gave her a nod. She jumped over the barrier and ran over the motorway to the garage, dodging traffic on her way. She walked over, looked me straight in the eye, said something in Syrian and gave me a highfive and hugged my leg. “I left a bit of me behind that day. We sobbed in the van as we left. It was utterly heart breaking to hear the hum of bodies murmuring in the boiling sun.” Hudson adds: “The album is influenced heavily, and almost solely by the fact I am a father. With so much unrest and violence in the world, it’s easy to turn your back and pretend none of it has an impact on your life. “Or somehow because it’s a long way from home it’s someone else’s problem. War does not sleep. War does not stop. It doesn’t choose who dies and who lives. But the people who light the fire and fan the flames do.”
The new album ‘Peace In Our Time’ is released 7th April via PHD.

SHIBALBA premiere video for new song

Meditative dark trance/ambient/shamanic act SHIBALBA has revealed a video for a new song, in anticipation of the upcoming album “Psychostasis – Death Of Khat”, due out on April 30th via Agonia Records. Watch the video for “Opening The Shadow Box” at this link:

SHIBALBA is Acherontas V.Priest (Acherontas), Karl NE/Nachzehrer (Nåstrond) and Aldra-Al-Melekh. Their music is saturated with the mysticism of the East. It’s richly detailed and multidimensional, while layered with chanting and broadly defined elements of traditional ritual and shamanic music. Apart from contemporary synths and guitar drones, the band makes use of bones and skulls as percussion instruments, Tibetan horns, Tibetan singing bowls, bone & horne trumpets, darbuka’s (goblet drums) as well as ceremonial bells and gongs. The band’s intention, in their own words, is to “guide the subconsious of the individual to dream beyond the skin of matter & to dream in ecstasy and exult”.

“Psychostasis – Death Of Khat” was recorded by the band themselves in Greece and Sweden, in a manner in which sound vibrations have been registered in a form analogous to the way in which the human ear perceives sound. High standards were provided especially for the vinyl edition of the album.

The cover artwork was made by Karl NE.

Thrashers TERRIFIER ‘Weapons of Thrash Destruction’ Tour (BC/AB)

Vancouver thrashers TERRIFIER announce they will be hitting the road for a mini tour in April plus will be headlining this year’s 2nd annual CEMR MetalFest in Calgary, AB on April 8th along with other festival performances at Armstrong MetalFest and Metallion Fest this summer.

The show dates are in support of TERRIFIER‘s new album ‘Weapons of Thrash Destruction’ released in January of this year via Test Your Metal Records to follow their 2013 EP ‘Metal or Death’ and 2012 full-length ‘Destroyers of the Faith’. Incorporating jackhammer drums, bulldozing bass-lines, a twin-lead attack that leaves posers pulped in its wake, and vocals that can level mountains, TERRIFIER’s motto could well be ‘thrashing is our business…and business is good’.

Mongolian Folk Metal Group TENGGER CAVALRY Signs with M-Theory Audio to Release New Full-Length Album in June

TENGGER CAVALRY – the nomadic Mongolian folk metal group whose exotic sound has been praised by outlets ranging from Metal Hammer and Terrorizer to Billboard and CNN – has signed with M-Theory Audio. The band’s new album is expected to be released in June and will be supported by a five-week North American tour and performances at several European summer festivals. Further details will be revealed in the coming weeks.
M-Theory Audio is the new label recently launched by Marco Barbieri, former president of Century Media Records and Nuclear Blast America.
Barbieri says, TENGGER CAVALRY is one of the most unique new bands, and I’ve been impressed how Nature Ganganbaigal and the group developed themselves to this point independently. By teaming up with an old friend, Dawn Robinson, as management and now working with us at M-Theory Audio, I’m excited by the upward possibilities the future holds and the fun and breakthroughs possible with their themes and great music.”
TENGGER CAVALRY frontman Nature Ganganbaigal adds, “To work with Marco, who was an integral part of Century Media, and M-Theory Audio is TENGGER CAVALRY‘s greatest honor. We are excited to bring on our next ‘raid’ together with the mighty M-Theory!”
One of the most unique and innovative acts in modern music, TENGGER CAVALRY (“the army of the sky god” in Mongolian) blends the nomadic musical traditions, instrumentation and warrior spirit of Central Asia with the aggression and power of heavy metal. The group was founded by Nature Ganganbaigal, who sings using the ancient Mongolian tradition of Khoomei (more commonly known as throat-singing) and plays multiple native instruments, including the Morin Khuur (an ancient fiddle), the Tovshuur (a Mongolian guitar) and the Mongolian flute.
Following Ganganbaigal’s relocation to America four years ago, TENGGER CAVALRY has successfully completed two headlining tours and even sold out a performance at New York City’s prestigious Carnegie Hall.
In the studio, meanwhile, the group’s output has been prodigious – since forming in 2010, they’ve released four full-length albums, two EPs and numerous singles, including unique cover interpretations of metal classics. In January, Dave Mustaine retweeted the group’s cover of “Symphony of Destruction,” while the previous month, the official Motörhead Facebook page reposted their rendition of “Fight.” The band’s most recent original single, “A Blade of Time,” was issued in January; a video for the song can be seen at this location:
