Austin trio Evil Triplet have released the first video from their recently released double LP debut ‘Otherworld’. You can watch the new video for ‘We Are The Aliens’ here: YouTube
The band is currently wrapping up production on a followup album titled Have a Nice Trip for release in early 2018. Vocalist/guitarist Steve Marsh describes the recording:
“We figured that the last record came out so well that we shouldn’t mess with the process: recorded at Sonic Ranch, engineered by Charles Godfrey, produced by Rob Halverson and myself, mixed at Halversonics Recording in Austin, and being mastered by Bob Weston at Chicago Mastering Service. The guitar photo (see below) is a Gibson Futura that once belonged to Billy Gibbons that I got to use during recording.”
The Austin Chronicle recently featured the band, also highlighting vocalist/guitarist Steve Marsh’s extensive background from 70s-80s punk progenitors Terminal Mind, to late-80s industrial-psych Miracle Room and later period noise merchants Wisdom Tooth. Romania’s BLOODWAY will release a new album on 3rd November 2017. The video of “Midlight Scout”,the first single coming from the album “A Fragile Riddle Crypting Clues” is out now!
Romania’s BLOODWAY cement their relationship with I, Voidhanger Records by releasing “A Fragile Riddle Crypting Clues”, the closing chapter of a trilogy which started in 2014 with the “Sunstone Voyager And The Clandestine Horizon” EP and continued the following year with the band’s first full-length, “Mapping The Moment With The Logic Of Dreams”. Lead by Costin Chioreanu, one of the most celebrated graphic artists within today’s metal field, BLOODWAY blend black metal, progressive metal, heavy rock and psychedelia in equal parts, forging a very peculiar style that revolves around deep emotions and dark inner visions, exactly like Chioreanu’s surreal art. “In this new chapter the same character from the previous albums returns to the world of humans, but with a different and larger perspective, animated by his experiences and mental transformations,” Chioreanu explains. “The world is nothing but a prison, with virtual walls risen from the controlled collective intellect, where all the prisoners are locked in by themselves. Everyone is free to go and live outside the so-called system, but nobody really wants to leave the cells for the unknown.” It’s a concept made of disenchantment and melancholy, and yet the album is more aggressive than BLOODWAY’s past material, as well as extremely dark. “In this prison, our character buries his achieved illusions about humanity and rediscovers memories from childhood,” Chioreanu continues; “he is attacked by chimeras, fears imposed by will, but at the same time he reaches illumination by simply accepting reality in it’s complete and horribly deceiving splendor. So he realizes that everything is nothing but a matter of perception.” From the lyrical perspective, “A Fragile Riddle Crypting Clues” is BLOODWAY’s most introspective record, one that truly investigates Costin Chioreanu’s spirit, as underlined by two intense spoken words recited by Tomas Lindberg (At The Gates) and Mat McNerney (Hexvessel). “I never spoke straight about my personal experiences and personal life the way I am doing now,” he says. “I felt truly free and confident with myself doing this record, and that fueled its specific nature. I think our goal as aband was to bring into this world a very special record, by all means. Iam deeply confident that we succeeded.”
Haema are an industrial-influenced experimental groove metal four-piece based in Northamptonshire, UK. Recently, the band has signed to metal label, Sliptrick Records, who will release the quartet’s debut EP, ‘Insurrection’ on October 31st, which was recorded at Initiate Audio & Media by Neil Hudson (Krysthla/Gutworm).
Formed in 2015, Haema encapsulates the essence of modern metal that likes to combine various styles of heavy music together. The four-piece hones in the heaviness and ferocity of groove metal, providing the crunchiest of hooks. This is balanced out by the infectiously catchy hooks reminiscent of the nu metal scene in the early 2000s. All the while topped off by a layer of electronic sounds and machine gun like precision found in industrial.
Within two years as a band, Haema have crafted a unique and individual sound that has been compared to the likes of the aforementioned bands also mixed with Tool / Rage Against The Machine overtones.
Tethra’s full-length album, “Like Crows for The Earth”, which was recorded and mixed by Matt Stancioiu (Labyrinth) at Elnor Studios and mastered by Greg Chandles (Esoteric) at Priory Studios. reveals how much the band has evolved sonically since their 2013 album, “Drown into the Sea of Life”. The album was released in Europe on February 11th via Sliptrick Records, and is now unleashed in the US, as it came out on July 23rd.
In support of their new album, the band have just released a new video for the title track ‘Like Crows For The Earth’. This is the first full official video from the album following The Groundfeeder released earlier in the year.
Tethra’s new video conveys a strong message, the band explained about the imagery: ”The deliberately strong and provocative images you can see in the video are meant to reflect on the indiscriminate exploitation that human beings are doing daily to the damage of the planet hosting us.Our symbolic sacrifice wants to be a warning and a message: we are one with nature, and only by taking care of it we can favour the rebirth and have a darker future.”
Orlando-based metalcore band Blessing A Curse has partnered with Idobi Radio for the premiere of their new music video, “Every Single Lie.” The track comes from their latest album Satisfaction from the Vengeful, released on Smartpunk Records last year.
