Infamous pirate metal gang ALESTORM set sail on a new voyage with their seventh studio album, Seventh Rum of a Seventh Rum, unveiling the next chanting anthem and third single, “The Battle of Cape Fear River”. The new single tells the story of legendary Captain Blackbeard and transports the sound of the band back in the times of classics like Captain Morgan’s Revenge and underlines that the new album is the most epic and serious sounding release ever heard of the band.

The official video accompanying the new single finally sees ALESTORM back in their trademark pirate visage, searching for treasure and aiming for adventure!

ANTHRAX announce ‘XL’ 40th anniversary livestream concert release + reveal ‘Aftershock’ live video


July 18th 2021 marked the 40th anniversary of thrash metal pioneers Anthrax. The celebration began in May of last year and culminated on that July 16th/17th with a global livestream event, shot at the Los Angeles soundstage/studio The Den. For two-plus hours, Anthrax performed an extensive set of hits and deep cuts pulled from their vast catalogue. Today, Anthrax announces that the entire performance, plus never-before-seen rehearsal footage, and Scott Ian’s New York City “walking tour” pointing out the spots that played a role in Anthrax’s formation and history, will be released in North America on July 15th on Blu-Ray/CD/Digital (Megaforce). ‘XL‘ will also have a UK/European digital release on July 15th (Nuclear Blast), followed by a Blu-Ray release (inc. 2CD + 1Blu-Ray) on July 22nd. Polish band AFTERLOAD release metal cover to the MORTAL COMBAT theme


Today, May 31, is the 28th anniversary of the release of the Mortal Combat soundtrack by The Immortals. On this occasion, the Polish band AFTERLOAD prepared and released an animated video to the composition “Techno Syndrome” written by Olivier Adams.

Bullet For My Valentine release new single “Stiches” + UK tour dates


British metal giants, Bullet For My Valentine, have announced a 10-date UK headline tour for Feb/ March 2023. Starting at the Cambridge Corn Exchange on February 27th, this new run of shows hits cities such as Liverpool, Glasgow & Swansea before finishing with an appearance at London’s Camden Roundhouse on March 11th 2023.  

Atreyu and Jinjer will join the bill across all shows, cementing the line-up as a sure-fire rager.
