The Devil Wears Prada have announced their eighth album Color Decay. It will arrive on the 16th of September 2022 via Solid State Records. Pre-order it here. Accompanying the announcement, the band has shared the video for the new single “Salt”.
“‘Salt’ is a song about trying to move forward and then feeling like nothing ever changes, even when you’ve seemingly done everything right,” the band says. “It’s the sort of feeling that makes you question every move you’ve ever made. Initially, the lyrics were just about having trouble writing songs for our new record, but soon, we realized that this feeling of fighting only to be stagnant and held down applies to so much more in our lives. It was really a breakthrough track and allowed us to dive in even deeper into what became Color Decay.”Continue reading THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM
The Devil Wears Prada have shared the video for the brand new song “Watchtower.” The song embodies everything Revolver recently said about the band: “The Devil Wears Prada have proven time and time again that it’s possible to never stop sonically experimenting… and never lose their own crushing identity.”
“The idea of this song is about a person being intentionally difficult even though happiness wants to find him/her,” Hranica says, giving the listener a deeper insight into the powerful subject matter. “In handling my own mental health struggles, I’ve found that I oftentimes never choose contentment on a fundamental basis: almost like I’ve skipped Step One. The narrator of ‘Watchtower’ is afraid to approach Step One and instead flees to perceive his/her life as a sort of passive overlooker instead.”Continue reading THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA RELEASE VIDEO/NEW SINGLE “WATCHTOWER”

Columbus, OH based Alternative Rock band TO KILL A MONSTER has released the official lyric video for their new single, “Barely Breathing.” Created by Mike Colletti of MC Lyric Videos with single art by Dan Smotz of Goulash Media, “Barely Breathing” layers a heavy, rolling rock beat and crunchy guitar with soaring vocals by front-man and lone founding member Joey Lawson.
“‘Barely Breathing’ is a story about the loss of a loved one when they’re all you have left. Either in love or life or anything the listener might be going through.” – TO KILL A MONSTER
To Kill A Monster, formed in 2005, is an upbeat punk/rock/alternative band from Columbus, Ohio. This band has aged like a fine wine across the last 16 years. As a high energy, hard hitting band with melodic verses and catchy choruses, TKAM is never afraid to throw in a breakdown or dance beat just for fun. Along with a few stops on the Vans Warped Tour in 2013 and 2015, To Kill A Monster has had the privilege of sharing the stage with acts such as Asking Alexandria, 21 Pilots, Starset, The Devil Wears Prada, Switchfoot and many more. After a short hiatus, the band re-emerged better than ever with a whole new lineup. Joining original singer Joey Lawson is Corey Melton (drums), Josh Spence (bass), James Barron (guitar), and Scott Borealis (guitar). New music is on the way and To Kill A Monster couldn’t be more proud of what’s coming.
