CELLAR DARLING release new video for their single “DANCE”

And in the end we all dance, laughing, into our doom: with a stirring coup de grâce of artful short film and extended song, the Swiss band CELLAR DARLING herald a new, furiously audiovisual era of their work.

Already a few weeks ago, CELLAR DARLING released their new piece “DANCE” about the mysterious dancing plague of 1518, an eleven-minute mammoth project that resembles a Celtic prog symphony more than a conventional rock song. Equally courageous and visionary, the trio of Anna MurphyMerlin Sutter and Ivo Henzi is now breaking new ground visually, as well: the corresponding video could not be further from a typical clip. Instead, CELLAR DARLING take us into a nightmarish forest scenery, somewhere between TOOL and Shakespeare, between dark fairy tale and contaminated apocalypse. Glittertind create headlines in national newspapers in Norway

unnamed (63)

Norwegian folk-rockers have created headlines in national newspapers in Norway during a national controversy of whether or not to celebrate the 500 years of passing since the Reformation.

Glittertind started out as a folk-metal act with a record deal and two albums on Karmageddon Media (ex- Hammerheart records) and later one album on the Austrian metal label Napalm Records. In recent years the band has created records that are better labeled as folk-rock with a diverse range of elements from classical music to metal.

Their new album Himmelfall (‘Heaven Fall’) was released October 27th in Norway and commemorates the 500 years that has passed since the Reformation, and Protestantism was forced upon their homeland. The band created headlines in national newspapers during controversy over whether or not to celebrate that 500 years ago Martin Luther started his rebellion against the Church in Rome.

Blackmore’s Night release their re-mastered 2CD Edition of their Christmas album ‘Winter Carols’ on 20th  October, with 3 brand new bonus tracks!

The festive season is a particularly special time for Ritchie Blackmore and Candice Night, not least because many traditional Christmas songs originate from medieval times, which are so dear to them. On this album, Ritchie and Candice share with their fans some of their favourite Christmas songs of the last 400 years.

The song ‘Wish You Were Here’, which is being promoted as their new Christmas single, is a wonderful cover version of the Rednex song, beautifully interpreted by Candice and embellished by Ritchie’s distinctive guitar-playing. The album also contains ‘Christmas Eve’, Blackmore’s Night’s previous Christmas single (from 2013) in different versions.
