FULL LINE UP ANNOUNCED FOR DOWNLOAD PILOT 10,000 CAPACITY THREE-DAY CAMPING ONLY TEST EVENT


Festival Republic have today announced the line-up for the ‘Download Pilot’. The 10,000 capacity, camping only festival will take place on 18-20 June 2021 on the hallowed grounds of Donington Park, as part of the Government’s scientific Events Research Programme. Testament to the depth of talent and strength of the UK’s world-leading rock scene, 40 acts all of whom are UK based have been revealed with headliners Frank Carter & The RattlesnakesEnter Shikari and Bullet For My Valentine as well as a host of the hottest names in rock, including Neck Deep, While She Sleeps, Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls, Sleep Token, Creeper and many more across two stages. Tickets go on sale for Download Festival 2022 ticketholders on Tuesday 1 June with general sale starting Thursday 3 June at 12pm via www.downloadfestival.co.uk/download-pilot

Download Pilot 3-Day Camping Festival Announced in Phase 2 of Government Scientific Event Research Programme


Festival Republic today confirm that a three-day, 10,000 capacity, camping only festival will take place this June as part of the second phase of the Government’s scientific Events Research Programme. In the true spirit of rock, the ‘Download Pilot’ will take place on 18-20 June 2021 on the hallowed grounds of Donington Park, the home of rock and metal since 1980. Tickets go on sale on Tuesday 1 June for the longstanding loyal existing Download Festival 2022 ticket holders, before general on sale on Thursday 3 June. The full line-up will be announced Friday 28 May.

ARCTANGENT FESTIVAL 2021 Now Postponed Until 2022 + First bands announced


A statement from the ARCTANGENT FESTIVAL organisers:



“We’re gutted to have tell you that we are finally calling time on ATG 2021. We tried for as long as possible to stay optimistic but unfortunately, like so many other festivals & events who have already cancelled this year, we have had to take the incredibly tough decision to postpone ArcTanGent until August 17th-20th 2022. We’re beyond devastated that we won’t be able to hang out with you for another year.

EVIL SCARECROW confirmed as Sophie Stage headiners at Bloodstock on Sunday 15th August


EVIL SCARECROW will headline the Sophie Lancaster stage on Sunday 15th August 2021, after Judas Priest’s set on the Ronnie James Dio Stage.

Download Festival UK Announces 70+ Bands FOR 2022


Download Festival isn’t taking place this year but they have just announced 70+ bands for 2022.  The next wave of artists joining previously announced headliners: KISS, Iron Maiden and Biffy Clyro.

New artists JUST added, and bringing the mosh to #DL2022, include:
DeftonesKorn, Megadeth, The Pretty Reckless, Steel PantherThe Ghost Inside, Funeral For A Friend, Descendents, Electric Wizard, Sepultura.

Download Festival UK 2021 is cancelled & headliners for 2022 revealed


Download Festival 2021 has unfortunately been cancelled for the second year in a row due to the on-going coronavirus pandemic.

The 2021 event, which was set to take place at Donington Park from June 4-6, with Kiss, Biffy Clyro and System Of A Down as headliners. With the event cancelled the organisers did offer some good news in the form of confirming the headliners for 2022 with Kiss and Biffy Clyro re-confirmed to headline and with the addition of Iron Maiden as one of the headliners now instead of Sytem Of A Down.
