2017 marks the great return of one of alt metal’s most unique, fast growing bands of the italian wave, THE SHIVER. Today, the band announces their new album, “Adeline”, will be released on April 4th and have unveiled the artwork and track list for their imminent return.
With their first two albums “A New Horizon” and and “The Darkest Hour” , the band started building up their profile as a strong live act touring all over Europe as support band for Papa Roach, God Is an Astronaut, Dead Letter Circus, Tarja and many others, getting enthusiastic response by both media and fans alike for their great energy on stage.
The band is now ready to release their brand new album “Adeline”, where Faith’s stellar voice is enough to make The Shiver attractive and a must listen. The immersive layers of synth and guitar create some impressive soundscapes that permeate all songs.
We hope “Adeline” can stick to your head and keep you coming back again and again.
“Dominion of Pain”, the second single by CADAVERIA from “Mondoscuro” EP, is now available on iTunes.
The track, in streaming on the band’s YouTube channel at this link https://youtu.be/gbdWgNxhVc4, features Flegias (vocals duet with Cadaveria) and Pier Gonella (final part of the guitar solo) from Necrodeath.
The vinyl limited edition of Mondoscuro EP was released last month via Sleaszy Rider records, anticipated by the single “Christian Woman” (Type O Negative cover). The third and last single “Mater Tenebrarum”, to be released in late April, will complete the trilogy that sees Cadaveria herself embodying the songs’ titles for the cover artworks.
The US progressive power metal band MINDMAZE just released a music video for “Sign of Life”, the first single from their new album “Resolve”. The album will be released on April 28th in Europe and North America through Inner Wound Recordings.
Over the span of 68 minutes of melodic and powerful music ripe with recurring themes, the band takes the listener on a whirlwind journey through the scope of human emotion in hopes they will be able to project their own experiences into these intensely personal lyrics inspired by an amalgam of real-life events.
Resolve reprises the band’s ever-present influences from bands like Queensryche, Dream Theater, Iron Maiden, Savatage, and a mixture of contemporary power metal and melodic rock hooks and songwriting while moving the band further into progressive and theatrical territory with more atypical song structures used to best serve the concept of the album.
The band continues to forge their footprint as one of the most promising and unique female-fronted bands to come along in recent times.

Groundbreaking art-rock performer, author and spoken word artist OTEP shook things up at SXSW this past weekend by dropping her latest artistic protest of mounting regressive political actions. OTEP took a further stand for equal rights with the world premiere of her empowering new music video for the heavy, rap-influenced track “Equal Rights Equal Lefts”.
Fans at Colours Couture’s SXSW fashion showcase presented by 3Thirteen Entertainment Group this weekend were treated to the video (directed by Aleks Rastovic) for the first time during OTEP‘s headlining set. After the premiere, OTEP posted the video on her YouTube channel for the world to see. Watch it here (warning, portions of this video are NSFW): https://youtu.be/929886X4QnM
The “Equal Rights Equal Lefts” video and track further solidify OTEP‘s diligent quest for equality: “I wrote this song to celebrate and empower all people to live their authentic selves, to live their truth, and to fight for their right to exist. Every day the LGBTQ community faces bigotry, bullying, ridicule and legislative attacks. We are not “the other”. We are your friends, your family, your neighbors, your coworkers, your doctors, nurses, soldiers and fellow Americans. Simply put, this song and this video are about love and equality.”
It’s been three years since Kobra And The Lotus‘ last studio album High Priestess was released back in 2014. The time since has not been wasted; with their third album under their belt, and completing multiple tours worldwide (with the likes of Kamelot, Sonata Arctica, Black Label Society, and Fear Factory to name just a few), their path of self-discovery has led them to this most important moment in their career. Prevail I, the band’s latest offering , will be released on May 12th 2017 on Napalm Records, and promises to be a rock juggernaut full of blistering guitars, pounding rhythms and haunting vocal melodies that will take the listener on a sonic journey leading them out from the darkness and into the light! Produced by Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Amaranthe, Epica etc) and mastered by Grammy award winning Ted Jensen, Prevail Iwill undoubtedly usher the band to much deserved elevated hard rock status. Evolution is inevitable and Kobra And The Lotus have delivered their most powerful album to date.
Let the music speak for itself. To get a taste of Prevail I, Kobra And The Lotus have now unleashed their first single for the stunning track ‘You Don’t Know‘! Stream this new Kobra And The Lotus rock masterpiece right HERE!
Says vocalist Kobra Paige: “To be alive brings many great things but among those things includes great suffering. It’s painful to feel backed into a corner, judged, misunderstood for who we really are. We can never really know a person until we have seen their point of view, crawled into their skin, and walked a mile in their shoes, but that will never happen. This is the anthem for the man, the woman, the human, navigating their life the best way they can. After all “You don’t know what it’s like to be me!”
Prevail I, with Prevail II to complete the story in the not too distant future, by Kobra And The Lotus, will be released May 12th 2017 on Napalm Records.
The track list reads as follows:
1. Gotham
2. TriggerPulse
3. You Don’t Know
4. Specimen X (The Mortal Chamber)
5. Light Me Up
6. Manifest Destiny
7. Victim
8. Check The Phyrg
9. Hell On Earth
10. Prevail
