This weekend’s Download Festival 20th anniversary welcomed a record breaking 100,000 attendees to the hallowed grounds of Donington Park becoming its most successful year ever. The fastest selling Download in its 20-year history, 2023’s edition showcased world-class rock and metal across four days and six stages from all over the world.

EPICA release new single ‘Unleashed (Live at the AFAS Live)’
After recently performing as direct support to Metallica for two spectacular shows in Paris and Hamburg, Symphonic metallers EPICA return with a another new live single from their European headline tour. The bombastic ‘Unleashed’ was recorded at Amsterdam’s AFAS Live in January 2023. Ahead of the band’s performance at Download Festival this weekend, they have released the live video for ‘Unleashed (Live at the AFAS Live)’.

On June 29th Download Festival and The Heavy Metal Truants will launch the Download 20 Auction to coincide with Download Festival’s 20th anniversary which it celebrates this June. This historic event will see the last 20 years of legendary Download Headliners contributing to a collection of unique and rare memorabilia which will be auctioned off to support four children’s charities.

With only two weeks to go until the mighty Download Festival, the sold out 20th anniversary celebration has unleashed its District X line up, as well as announcing special collaborations for this year. Boasting secret band sets, live podcasts, late night DJ sets and a comedy line up on the Wednesday night, the special four-day edition is set to be jam-packed. Download Festival’s 20th anniversary has become a double celebration, as today the festival sells out, marking 2023 as the fastest-selling year of all time. Day, weekend and camping tickets have been snapped up by fans eager to celebrate an incredible 20 years for the legendary festival. The special anniversary edition, taking place for the first time over four days on 8-11 June 2023 at Donington Park, will feature headliners Bring Me The Horizon, Slipknot and Metallica, who will perform two headline sets with no repeat songs.
