With 135 days to go to BLOODSTOCK, are we allowed to start a countdown yet?! Spring is officially here and though the festival has some disappointing news to share first, there is also a plethora of excellent news and lots more still to reveal while we’re (im)patiently waiting for August to roll around. You can also tune in to the next Facebook Live on Thursday, 6th April at 7pm. We can’t promise festival management will be wearing Easter bunny ears, but we can promise some Easter goodies. ALCEST announce “Les Voyages de l’âme” reissues
In a close cooperation, ALCEST and Prophecy Productions are reissuing the French blackgaze pioneers‘ milestone release and third studio full-length “Les Voyages de l’âme”. The album was originally released on January 6, 2012. Due to production shortages and the complex nature of manufacture, these special reissues will come out some months past the initially planned date of release in connection to their 10th anniversary. The reissues have been slated to April 28, 2023:

Dragged Under have revealed the official video for “Suffer,” one of the colossal stand-out tracks from their latest studio album ‘Upright Animals’ – out now on Mascot Records/Mascot Label Group. LIVE REVIEW: Kreator – Chalk, Brighton UK 11th March 2023

Kreator is currently touring with Lamb Of God as support, but they managed to slot in two UK headline shows, one in Leeds and the other in Brighton on the 11th of March, which I was fortunate to attend. To make the occasion even more unique, this was the first time the German Thrash veterans have played in Brighton, and to top it off, they played a special deep cuts set list, especially for these two shows. The CHALK venue is a small intimate venue; you wouldn’t expect a band of their calibre to play here, which added to the rare thrash metal spectacle.
