Ukrainian spiritualized rockers Ethereal Riffian have launched pre-orders for “Afterlight” DVD, which showcases the results of the band’s 6-year work. “Afterlight” is a conceptual work and its main theme is spiritual liberation in different spiritual traditions, namely – Shamanism, Buddhism and Mysticism. “Afterlight” will be self-released on August 17th, 2017. Black Mourning Light, the Edmonton, AB black and doom metal festival being presented by Crown of Viserys and GigFly.ca on October 13th and 14th at the Starlite Room has updated their 2017 line up to include locals THE LUCIFER PROJECT featuring drummer Bryan James Newbury (Into Eternity/ Untimely Demise) and guitarist Adam Sweeney (Untimely Demise) along with Alberta / Ohio based THE PROJECTIONIST featuring Lord Matzigketius (ex-Idolatry) on vocals, Ghast (ex-Operation Winter Mist) on guitar, Destroyer (Unrest) on bass, Parageist (ex-Vile Insignia) on guitar and Malphas on drums.

KAYAK sign worldwide deal with “Inside Out Music”
Legendary Dutch progressive rock band KAYAK has signed a worldwide deal with InsideOutMusic! The band’s seventeenth studio album is entitled “Seventeen” and is set for release on January 12th, 2018.
Currently being busy mixing “Seventeen”, the band’s mastermind Ton Scherpenzeel comments: “KAYAK are excited about signing to IOM, and are looking forward to a long lasting and successful collaboration. The combination of the band with an almost complete new line up, and a new record company seems very promising and will hopefully open new doors for us!”

HAUTAJAISYÖ Released a second single from their upcoming album “Matkalla Kohti Hautaan”.
Messenger of Finnish melancholy and sorrow Hautajaisyö (Funeral Night) released a new single today July 19th 2017 via Inverse Records. This is the second single from the upcoming second album. New single is called ”Vain Tuhkasi Sinusta Muistuttaa” (only your ashes reminds of you) and it tells a sad story of a final goodbye. It’s one of the saddest songs from the band, but still keeps the band’s rough touch. Beautiful melodic guitars mixed with low growling vocalist gives this song a unique atmosphere.
