LACUNA COIL release new single ‘I Wish You Were Dead’
As the band prepares to release their brand new studio album Sleepless Empire, Italian metal titans LACUNA COIL have released the ultimate single ‘I Wish You Were Dead’ alongside a stunning music video.
‘I Wish You Were Dead’ is about the emotional turmoil and struggle that accompanies toxic relationships. The song’s video, which premieres this evening at 8pm GMT, takes the track’s heavy theme and spins it into a romantic Goth tale just in time for Valentine’s Day. Filmed by Martina L McLean in a church in Capranica, a small town north of Rome, it marks a first in the history of LACUNA COIL: the band performing a choreography!

On the new single, the band shares:
“We all have this person we wish never existed, right? We all felt the need to erase the same person from our thoughts, someone who hurt us that it’s still in our mind. We wanted to write heavier lyrics on a happier musical canvas. Also we are a little tired of being politically correct at all costs…”
Sleepless Empire marks the tenth studio album of LACUNA COIL, released 14th February via Century Media Records. It is the first long play release after their remake album Comalies XX, which came out 2022. The new album comprises eleven new tracks; and each one is a richly textured soundtrack to a specific time and a place. With Sleepless Empire, that place is dark, cinematic, and unmistakably true to the unique characteristics that have given LACUNA COIL such a celebrated entry in the annals of heavy music. “Sleepless Empire captures, through our eyes, the chaos of a generation trapped in a digital world that never stops, where social media consumes identity and every day pushes us one step closer to becoming soulless zombies. We find ourselves in between, having witnessed a full analogic world and the modern one, confronting the evolution and searching for a true meaning of it all. Throughout every song, the journey is an undercurrent of rebellion, a desperate cry to reclaim oneself in an era that seems to have lost its sense of time and reality.”

ABOUT LACUNA COIL
LACUNA COIL, which translates to “empty spiral”, is an Italian gothic metal band formed in Milan in 1994. The band is renowned for their distinctive blend of heavy metal, gothic rock, and symphonic elements, characterised by dual vocal harmonies between co-lead vocalists Cristina Scabbia and Andrea Ferro. The band gained international recognition with their third album, Comalies, released in 2002, which featured hit singles like ‘Heaven’s a Lie’ and ‘Swamped’. This album marked their breakthrough in the United States and helped them secure a dedicated fan base worldwide.
Over the years, LACUNA COIL have released several successful albums, including Karmacode (2006), Shallow Life (2009), Dark Adrenaline (2012), and Black Anima (2019).

Papa Roach Present £20,000 Cheque To The Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM)
Following their sold-out UK tour, Papa Roach presented a cheque for £20,000 to the suicide prevention charity Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) before their show at Wembley Arena. The “RISE OF THE ROACH TOUR” which spans Europe, the UK, and two legs across North American arenas and amphitheatres, donated £1 from every UK ticket sold to the charity. The band has raised awareness about mental health and suicide prevention throughout their career.

The industrial rock scene is about to get louder and darker with the release of
“SIREN COMES,” the highly anticipated second single from GILLSAW. Following the success of their debut single “RIZEN” just a few weeks back, “SIREN COMES” takes listeners deeper into the heart of their gritty, aggressive sound—a relentless blend of metal, electronic, and industrial elements that define GILLSAW’S unique style.
“SIREN COMES” plunges into the terrifying experience of a man tormented nightly by a seductive Siren. The song captures the push and pull of this encounter, highlighting both the allure and the deadly intent of the Siren. Lyrics like “Her soft barefoot approach / Night prowl capable” and “Silky dominatrix / Smooth with tongue” paint a vivid picture of the Siren’s seductive nature, while lines like “Demonic / Kills for thrills / She’ll quickly she’ll drain your soul” reveal her true, malevolent purpose. The repeated refrain “Thunderous Siren Comes” acts as a chilling reminder of the nightly terror. The story accompanying the song reveals the larger context: Ian, isolated and vulnerable, is the target of these nightly attacks.
RIZEN, a mysterious figure, warns Ian of the Sirens and their soul-stealing intentions. Each night, the Siren’s seductive whispers almost break Ian’s will, but Rizen’s booming cry, “Get up boy, time to run!” jolts him back to reality, sending him fleeing into the night. This nightly ritual of terror and escape leaves Ian broken and on the brink, a mere shell of his former self, trapped in a cruel game orchestrated by Rizen. The song and story work together to create a haunting atmosphere, exploring themes of temptation, vulnerability, and the psychological torment of a seemingly endless nightmare.

ABOUT KVRMA
KVRMA is a high energy rock and metal band hailing from Central Pennsylvania. The band consists of musicians with years of experience. Secretly beginning in August of 2023, the band quickly began writing music and recording at Atrium Audio with Carson Slovak and Grant McFarland. The band released their first single “SILENCE” in April of 2024 and subsequently announced the forming of the band to the public.
KVRMA is honored to be nominated for Best New Band and Best Hard Rock band at this year’s Central Pennsylvania Music Hall of Fame
In under a year of being an official band, KVRMA have recorded and released an entire EP, they have done three music videos acquiring thousands of views, and are looking to get more under their belt. Their debut performance was opening for New Years Day. This is only the beginning.
