Vancouver progressive virtuosos OmnisighT teamed up with Blackroom Films to release a new live video for their track “Shift The Paradigm” off their new EP “The Power of One”released in January of this year. The video was shot during their EP release party on March 11th at The Astoria in Vancouver, BC.
“”Shift The Paradigm” is definitely a track that features everything OmnisighT’s known for: Extreme musicianship, big vocal hooks and great grooves. I was having some technical difficulties at the beginning of the song, but the show must go on! I’ve always liked music videos that show the realism of live performance, so I think it’s pretty cool. It was awesome to debut the new material and shred it up live!” says guitarist Blake Rurik.

CYPHER16 just wrapped up a successful 24-city North American tour with headliners Amaranthe, and today, the band is following up with their brand new music video for the single “Open The Dark Door”. The video’s backdrop is the impressive and striking London Natural History Museum, where the band was given behind-the-scenes access to film their “Night At The Museum”-esque footage. The video is packed with fast-paced performance scenes, pyrotechnics and beautiful architectural views. Watch the music video, directed by Ben Thornley of Sitcom Soldiers here:
CYPHER16 is considered to be one of the most anticipated metal/rock bands-to-watch out of the UK, and this video reflects their DIY prowess. Frontman Jack Doolan says: “368 days in the making, “Open The Dark Door” at the Natural History Museum started out as a ridiculous and over-ambitious idea, but thanks to the hard work of a lot of people, became a reality. Like the “Lonely Road” video (which we shot at Battersea Power Station), finding an amazing and awe-inspiring venue was essential. When we somehow convinced the team at the NHM to let us invade for one night, CYPHER16 was not only the first heavy rock band to ever conduct a full-scale shoot both outside and inside the Hintze Hall, but the shoot became one of the last projects to film with Dippy the Dinosaur before he left the museum for his extended tour.
We knew we would have to bring in a great film and direction team to help us make it a reality. Enter Ben, Bez and crew at Sitcom Soldiers, who brought their vision, enthusiasm and expertise and really made it all happen! I hope you all enjoy watching it our ‘night at the museum’ as much as we enjoyed making it, although I won’t deny, it was one of the longest nights of my life!”

Finnish thrash metal band Justice Theory has released a new single!
Their third single ”Welcome To The Family” is released today March 26th 2017. Valtteri came up with lyrics that/which fitted perfectly to an energetic spirit of the song. Idea for lyrics came from that raw aggressiveness and speedy going, which eventually got the band decide that this would definitely be their next single to release. More specifically, the lyrics tell about a person/ a guy/ citizen, who has had enough of this world shackled by foolish standards and limitations. He builds a family of rebels which starts to riot against the world of restrictive rules.
A comment from Valtteri :
In the beginning we decided that our next single is going to be cheery, high-powered track. We took few steps back from massiveness and melodiousness that our previous single “Unbroken” was all about. Welcome To The Family is highly inspired by our first single “Necessary Evil” and also has the vibes that Anthrax were been able to bring in their songs – Not too seriously, but convincingly. I think that we managed to get what we wanted in this song, and I’m quite sure that it will be one of the highlights on our upcoming shows. IT ROCKS!
This song is dedicated to our dearest friends and fans, who are supported and believed in us from the very beginning. We are more than happy to see that you guys are out there! So huge thank you all!
