Canadian extreme metallers Karkaos have streamed their entire new album ‘Children Of The Void’ on their YouTube channel as a thank you to the fans for the support as their Facebook page reached over 6000 likes. The album was self-released on May 26th 2017 and impressively features some guest appearances from Lindsay Schoolcraft from Cradle of Filth and Morgan Lander from Kittie.

With their Swan Songs-series LORD OF THE LOST showcase their ability to create fascinatingly heavy classical music. Calgary, AB progressive death metal band DIVINITY announces they will be embarking on a dual album release Alberta tour with Vancouver, BC’s EXPAIN. The tour will be in promotion of DIVINITY recently released album “The Immortalist” along with EXPAIN supporting their forthcoming EP “Pinching Nerves”. The one week tour will be kicking off in Innisfail, AB on September 21st and wrap up in Banff, AB on September 26th (full dates listed below).
DIVINITY‘s “The Immortalist” is a culmination of 5 years of hard work and dedication to their craft. The album features 12 tracks that include their two previous EP releases “The Immortalist, Pt. 1 – Awestruck” and “The Immortalist, Pt. 2 –Momentum” with their 3rd EP “The Immortalist Pt. 3 – Conqueror” now completed to finish off the trilogy series as one huge full length album. After hearing the title of the package, it’s easy to conclude that it was recorded at the identically named festival in Vizovice, Czech Republic. But there’s even more to be excited about, this release doesn’t just include KORPIKLAANI‘s show from 2016, it even has a second full show from 2014 as bonus feature. The 2016 concert features guest appearances from Tero Hyväluoma (additional fiddler) as well as Toni Perttula (additional accordion player), Sami‘s identical twin brother. Mixing and mastering of »Live at Masters of Rock« were handled by front man Jonne Järvelä himself.
Jonne comments, “This our first ever DVD release, which we are quite proud of. It has no backing tracks, no choirs, no samples, all the mistakes are included. It is just us, KORPIKLAANI, pure live rock ‘n’ roll.”
He also adds, “I spent a lot of time during the mastering process with Svante Forsbäck who recently handled the RAMMSTEIN mastering and we worked hard to achieve the right ambience and crowd sound. So when you turn it up loud, it feels like you are right there in the middle.”
Sami adds, “For us, our bigger shows means more folk musicians, which are much cheaper than pyro, for example my brother agreed to this show for a few beers and he doesn’t even drink much!”
