Finnish Folk Metal Superstars KORPIKLAANI will release their first ever live Blu-ray/DVD+2CD package titled »Live at Masters of Rock«, on August 25th, 2017 through Nuclear Blast. In support of this release, the band with front man Jonne Järvelä has unleashed the first single‘Pilli on pajusta tehty’, which can be purchased here: http://nblast.de/KorpiklaaniDigital
After hearing the title of the package, it’s easy to conclude that it was recorded at the identically named festival in Vizovice, Czech Republic. But there’s even more to be excited about, this release doesn’t just include KORPIKLAANI‘s show from 2016, it even has a second full show from 2014 as bonus feature. The 2016 concert features guest appearances from Tero Hyväluoma (additional fiddler) as well as Toni Perttula (additional accordion player), Sami‘s identical twin brother. Mixing and mastering of »Live at Masters of Rock« were handled by front man Jonne Järvelä himself.
Jonne comments, “This our first ever DVD release, which we are quite proud of. It has no backing tracks, no choirs, no samples, all the mistakes are included. It is just us, KORPIKLAANI, pure live rock ‘n’ roll.”
He also adds, “I spent a lot of time during the mastering process with Svante Forsbäck who recently handled the RAMMSTEIN mastering and we worked hard to achieve the right ambience and crowd sound. So when you turn it up loud, it feels like you are right there in the middle.”
Sami adds, “For us, our bigger shows means more folk musicians, which are much cheaper than pyro, for example my brother agreed to this show for a few beers and he doesn’t even drink much!”

Shiraz Lane´s been working on their 2nd album in Stockholm for the whole year with a Swedish songwriter/ producer Per Aldeheim (Def Leppard, Pain, Fatboy, Soilwork…). The album will be out in early 2018, and the guys are super happy about both with their results in the studio and these upcoming Fall live dates:
“We are extremely excited to join forces and support Brother Firetribe through Europe during the upcoming Autumn of 2017. It will be a pleasure to revisit some of the awesome venues and embrace the atmosphere we were so warmly welcomed on our last tour, and are thrilled to bring our caravan to new destinations for your eyes and ears to witness. You might even have an exclusive chance to hear some new material we have been working so hard on throughout the year. Perhaps we might even release a single before the leaves fall from the trees? Time will tell..!”

Take a sneak peak to their funny studio sessions (incl. English subtitles):
THE CASUALTIES have announced the departure of frontman Jorge Herrera due to growing tired of the strains of life on the road. The band will fulfill all previously announced dates including the European festival tour in August. The band’s longtime friend David Rodriguez (STARVING WOLVES, KRUM BUMS) will be handling vocal duties.
THE CASUALTIES comment: “Attention, Casualties Army! After 27 years of performing with the band, Jorge has chosen that touring life is no longer for him. With that said, we will carry on. As anyone who follows us knows, the name THE CASUALTIES is stronger then any one member. The songs written in basements throughout New York City shall continue to ring loud. We will continue our commitment to the Casualties Army! We will tour and put forward new anthems for many more years to come. When we said ‘it’s a f*cking way of life’ back in the beginning, we meant it.”
