GLASSJAW Exclusive London show announced & vinyl release date of “Material Control” revealed

Legendary New York influential post-hardcore band GLASSJAW have announced their return to the UK. They will play at London’s o2 Academy Brixton on 18/08/18. Tickets went on sale 9am Friday 2^nd Febraury at www.gigsandtours.com / www.ticketmaster.co.uk

The band surprised their fans at the end of last year, dropping new album “MATERIAL CONTROL” on 1^st December, unleashing the first new music in over a decade to a patient and dedicated fanbase. Dropped at barely a week’s notice, the highly anticipated album saw a rapturous reception from both fans and critics alike, with GLASSJAW’s fresh ferocity perfectly soundtracking the often puzzling and tumultuous period the world finds itself in currently.

Glasya is a symphonic metal band fostered by the integration of several experienced musicians from the Portuguese metal scene, by the founder guitarist Hugo Esteves, the voice of Eduarda Soeiro (also in Nightdream – Portuguese official tribute to Nightwish), the keys of Portuguese-Dutchman Davon Van Dave (ex-Urban Tales, ex-Shadowsphere, ex-Heavenly Bride), solo guitarist Bruno Prates (ex-Enchantya, Paradigm State), Manuel Pinto bass (ex-Enchantya, Paradigm State) and Bruno Ramos drums (ex-My Deception).

OCEANS OF SLUMBER Release Video For New Single ‘The Banished Heart’

Houston-based progressive metal outfit OCEANS OF SLUMBER have released a video for their new single “The Banished Heart”, which is also the title track of the upcoming album to be released on 02 March 2 2018.

The band comments: “As many terrible ups and downs as we’ve had over the years and as hard as 2017 was for some, we have made something we are very proud of. Something we could funnel into the aural and visual, and something that is bound to crush us and you. We made a record that is a window in time. A chronicling of what life was during it and an album we could call home for a bit.”

Acclaimed composer and virtuoso cellist Jo Quail added to Amenra and Boris UK tour

Fresh from opening for Myrkur over the past week, as well as joining her on stage in her Folkesange project, internationally acclaimed composer and virtuoso cellist Jo Quail has been added to the UK leg of the upcoming Amenra and Boris European tour. Jo comments:

‘Supporting Amenra and Boris on the UK leg of their co-headline EU tour – WOW! I cannot wait! It is a true privilege to play these concerts. I’m a soloist, and I perform my music that sits somewhere between contemporary classical, post-rock, avant garde and experimental. It is an honour to be invited to open the stage for two genre-defying bands who are masters of their craft, who have been and continue to be revolutionary in their individual approach to composition, performance and musical ethos and who reach in to the depths of being both spiritually and sonically.

JONATHAN DAVIS releases first single from debut solo album, “What It Is”

Jonathan Davis, the storied frontman of critically lauded rock band Korn, has released “What It Is,” the diverse and distinctive first single from his forthcoming debut solo album. The new track, which premiered on SiriusXM’s rock station Octane, is set for release on Sumerian Records in Summer 2018.

The new music represents a natural step for the Bakersfield, CA singer, songwriter, composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist. Davis quietly compiled ideas for what would become this solo effort beginning back in 2007. Writing and recording on the road, he personally contributed guitar, keys, and anything else he could get his hands on to the record. Moreover, the music was primarily recorded live, a departure from Korn’s heavily calculated, meticulous, studio approach to creation.

BLEED FROM WITHIN reveal video for “Alive”; share release date for new album “Era” + announce UK release shows

BLEED FROM WITHIN are back! Five years in the making, “Era“ marks the return of the Scottish quintet and is set for release on 6th April 2018 via Century Media Records.

The album was recorded at Middle Farm Studios and BLEED FROM WITHIN headquarters between March – September 2017. The drums were produced and engineered by Adam ‘Nolly’ Getgood (Periphery, Animals As Leaders and more), who also mixed the album. It is the first release featuring their new guitar player, Steven Jones. The Scottish based producer/songwriter joined the band two years ago and has been an integral part of both writing, and recording.
