July 18th 2021 marked the 40th anniversary of thrash metal pioneers Anthrax. The celebration began in May of last year and culminated on that July 16th/17th with a global livestream event, shot at the Los Angeles soundstage/studio The Den. For two-plus hours, Anthrax performed an extensive set of hits and deep cuts pulled from their vast catalogue. Today, Anthrax announces that the entire performance, plus never-before-seen rehearsal footage, and Scott Ian’s New York City “walking tour” pointing out the spots that played a role in Anthrax’s formation and history, will be released in North America on July 15th on Blu-Ray/CD/Digital (Megaforce). ‘XL‘ will also have a UK/European digital release on July 15th (Nuclear Blast), followed by a Blu-Ray release (inc. 2CD + 1Blu-Ray) on July 22nd. 96 BITTER BEINGS (ex-CKY) joins Nuclear Blast
Revered Los Angeles rock band 96 Bitter Beings have officially joined Nuclear Blast! Formed in 2016 by ex-CKY founder, vocalist, guitarist and songwriter Deron Miller, the band plans to release, ‘Synergy Restored‘, their long-awaited follow-up to 2018’s widely praised debut ‘Camp Pain‘, later this year. In the meantime, they’ll be hitting the road in the USA with Howling Giant this summer, performing at their first shows in years.

SABATON Release ‘The Symphony To End All Wars’
Swedish metallers SABATON are on a mission to send chills up listeners’ spines. Today, the Falun five-piece unleash their new album The Symphony To End All Wars – a virtuosic, symphonic take on The War To End All Wars – which was released on March 4, 2022, by Nuclear Blast Records.
The band state: “These stories about courageous heroes and extraordinary incidents during the Great War are not only worthy of a whole album and an accompanying history edition, but an additional symphonic soundtrack edition that summons new emotions and adds a new dimension to our compositions.
