The Dutch masters of horror are back with their most flamboyant album so far. On ‘Dance and Laugh amongst the Rotten’, CARACH ANGREN are painting musical pictures that easily combine the grandiose depth of a Rembrandt with Van Gogh’s maelstrom of whirling colours and the utter madness of Bosch. This lusciously seductive danse macabre will drag you in and never let go.
CARACH ANGREN are now unveiling the first stunning track of their forthcoming new album. The Dutch masters of horror metal have entitled their new haunting ‘Dance and Laugh amongst the Rotten’ and the release date has been slated for June 16th.
CARACH ANGREN comment: “After months of hard work we proudly reopen the doors to our haunted mansion to reveal the first deadly taste of our upcoming concept album. A unique horror story as you all expect and deserve from us, we consider this as one of the most terrifying tracks that we have created so far.”
CARACH ANGREN are furthermore revealing the cover art by renowned Romanian artist Costin Chioreanu and track-list of ‘Dance and Laugh amongst the Rotten’, which can both be viewed below.

Swedish classic/progressive rock supergroup THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA – featuring members of metal frontrunners Soilwork and Arch Enemy – have revealed the album cover artworks for their forthcoming third studio album, Amber Galactic, which is scheduled to be released on May 19, 2017 via Nuclear Blast. See the standard album cover above.
Singer Björn Strid states: “Amber Galactic” is a relationship drama set in space, the first classic rock space opera on double vinyl. As seasoned musicians, we’re taking this project seriously, although we might come across as slightly retrofuturistic at times, there’s no irony involved. It’s just us trying to shape our future into a place where our race is led by female space commanders with pearl necklaces and a quasar sense of gravity. “Amber Galactic” is about setting free from genre boundaries and expectations that are put on people like us. We just want to create music that we would like to hear ourselves, but that isn’t only for us.
THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA is here to set you free, to invite you to enjoy music in whatever form it is presented. For this particular journey, we’d like you to follow us into space, but who knows where we’ll go next! After entering the NFO universe, you won’t ever be the same!”
Amber Galactic will be available as a limited edition digipak CD featuring an alternate cover art (see below), 2LP vinyl (black and violet sparkle) and as digital download and stream via all known platforms.

Amber Galactic track listing:
01. Midnight Flyer
02. Star Of Rio
03. Gemini
04. Sad State Of Affairs
05. Jennie
06. Domino
07. Josephine
08. Space Whisperer
09. Something Mysterious
10. Saturn In Velvet
11. Just Another Night (BONUS TRACK, limited edition digipak, vinyl)
12. Fly Tonight (Never Rewind) (BONUS TRACK, Japan only)
When asked about the direction of NFO within the realm of classic rock, Strid explains with a chuckle: “Most other classic rock bands sound like weed or LSD – we sound like cocaine.”
Amber Galactic was recorded at Handsome Hard Studio in Lund, Sweden. The album follows THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA‘s two previous releases, 2012’s Internal Affairsand 2015’s Skyline Whispers.
Stay tuned for more coming soon in the world of THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA!

Canada’s ANNIHILATOR is the lifework of guitarist Jeff Waters. Founded in 1984, the band took the metal scene by storm with their debut 1989 release “Alice In Hell”, upped the ante with 1990’s “Never, Neverland” and has continued a non-stop career-pattern of releasing records and touring with many of the biggest bands in the metal genre (mostly all outside North America), ever since; cementing ANNIHILATOR as the biggest-selling metal act in Canada’s history.
After 18 months of touring for the band’s latest album “Suicide Society” (nominated for a 2017 Juno Award in the Metal / Hard Rock Album of The Year category), the band is currently finishing up their 16th studio release and is getting ready to headline not only the mighty WACKEN OPEN AIR Festival in Germany (Aug 3), but hit the road for their first Canadian tour since 1993.
The tour will see the band kick off their first date in Victoria, BC on June 13th and travel east wrapping up the tour in Cornwall, ON July 1st during Canada day weekend festivities. This is very big news for Canadian metal fans, both young and “older” whom have been waiting for an ANNIHILATOR tour to return to Canadian soil for over 20 years!
Support on this tour comes from Australia’s MASON whom was ANNIHILATOR’s support in Europe last year & from Montreal, QC thrashers MUTANK who won the acclaimed Wacken Metal Battle Canada contest in 2014 and have also performed at Wacken Open Air.
The band’s founder, Jeff Waters (and guitarist, vocalist, songwriter, producer, engineer, mix engineer, mastering engineer, manager, etc.) was asked how it feels to be “back” touring his home country:
“I have always enjoyed flying the flag for one of the nicest countries and people in the world, despite having very little support from the industry here to play and releasing CDs in Canada. It sure is an honor to be nominated for a Juno, after all these years, and to have the opportunity to tour this great and metal land! It will be some of our best-ever shows this summer. We look forward to meeting the metal fans and to show them what the rest of the world has seen us do every year for decades. It’s about time, eh?!”
ANNIHILATOR has given the metal world a sound that is one of the clearest, most-tasteful mixtures of huge, metal riffs with the idea of the perfect song and some legendary solo shredding as the icing on the cake. Jeff Waters and ANNIHILATOR have been a major influence on countless well-known metal acts and musicians around the world. In fact, countless, successful non-metal acts & musicians cite Waters and Co. as an influence in their careers.

1. Suicide Society (3:50)
2. My Revenge (5:06)
3. Snap (4:54)

DISPERSE will kick off their European tour in support of Australian instrumentalists PLINI tonight at The Globe in Cardiff. The Polish-English prog shooting stars will first proceed in the UK and then continue on the continent, hitting ten countries with a final show at the Backstage in the French capital Paris on April 8th.
DISPERSE commented: “We have been friends with David and PLINI for a good few years now. Guest appearances on each others’ albums, playing a few shows together in different parts of the world – all of that just made the bond of our friendship even tighter. Therefore we are incredibly excited to go on long journey with those lads, which lasts nearly for a month. We will be playing the music that we love and jamming every night – especially those drunken bluesy solos. It feels good to know that something, we have been dreaming of for ages, is finally happening. We hope to see you joining the fun soon!”

solation has most certainly bred inspiration in the shape of SLAGDUSTER. Hailing from Grand Forks, B.C, the band is name after a slang term local to their area for a piece of machinery that was used in the mines over a hundred years ago.
“We are the only four musicians in our small town driven to form a progressive metal band.” says vocalist Shane Sherman.
Inspired by such giants as Goijira. Sikth, Meshuggah, Dillinger Escape Plan, Between The Buried And Me, SLAGDUSTER offer a progressive, groovy, creative, unique and heavy sound.
It’s been a few years since their debut album ‘Nature.Humanity.Machine’ and SLAGDUSTER is ready to unleash their follow up ‘Deadweight’ due out on May 5th, 2017.
“Naturally our sound has come a long way since our debut release in 2010. The music is more complex, and much more developed, still heavy, but even more groove based. Listeners can expect to be challenged by focusing on the compositions, or lost in the musical landscape.” says vocalist Shane Sherman.
Teaming up with TheSludgelord, SLAGDUSTER is giving fans a taste of what’s to come off ‘Deadweight’ with the exclusive premiere of their first single ‘Peeping Ron’.
The band comments:
“‘Peeping Ron’ encompasses many aspects of our upcoming album ‘Deadweight’. Grooved rhythm, technical riffing, odd time signatures and pummeling vocals are layered over complex drum work seems to be constant theme on this record. Enjoy!”
Listen to ‘Peeping Ron’ by visiting the following link: http://thesludgelord.blogspot.fi/2017/03/track-premiere-slabduster-deliver.html
Like the ancient machine they are named after, SLAGDUSTER work hard to draw art from base material, they’re sound is meticulous and lengthy. All nine of tracks on ‘Deadweight’ have been very slowly and carefully crafted over the years. No songs were scrapped; all were completely revamped continuously for years. SLAGDUSTER put way more effort into collaborative song writing, which has significantly advanced their original sound. Each track contains a variety of things, ranging from ripping riffs and tremolo melodies to soft transitional parts and psychedelic interludes on top of constant heaviness and groove.
Of course, these songs are transformed in SLAGDUSTER’s live show, which vocalist Shane Sherman describes as “high energy, bordering on ridiculous, with offensive banter and annoying antics from an attention hungry front man. Well executed yet fun and light-hearted performances perfected over years of touring.”
