“Let’s set our piano on fire!” might be a sentence we haven’t heard since the good old rock’n’roll days of the 70s. However, more than any other song from EPICA‘s upcoming audiovisual release, “‘Kingdom Of Heaven Pt 3 – The Antediluvian Universe –” proves that the Dutch symphonic legends have been truly on fire since the release of their latest studio album in February. Despite not being able to play many shows this year, the band used their time at home to set up an extraordinary streaming event that premiered in June and will now be available in various audiovisual formats on December 3rd. You can even go and witness it live on a huge screen with popcorn and all your friends at the exclusive Kinepolis cinema premiere taking place in Antwerp on December 2nd, where the whole band will be present to celebrate the release – tickets are now available at epica.nl!
LA based Theatrical Metal Band RAVEN BLACK has taken the opening theme of the 1993 TIM BURTON cult classic THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS, “This is Halloween,” and created a new #1 Allhallows Eve playlist favorite! With a darkly playful lyric video directed by killDevil Films, RAVEN BLACK infuses the DANNY ELFMAN composed anthem with crunchy guitars and explosive, exuberant vocals from the diminutive front-woman.
On the new album, second in the discography, entitled Wpiekłowstąpienie (eng. eng. “Harrowing of Hell”) Polish band Sothoris (blackened death metal) shows his more brutal face. The musical layer is full of aggressive guitar parts interspersed with melodic solos and devilish blasts of Hrist. Raven‘s vocalist once again decided to sing in native, polish language.
December 24th, 1914: Late On Christmas Eve, British Expeditionary Force heard German troops in the trenches opposite them singing Christmas carols and saw lanterns and small fir trees along their trenches. Messages began to be shouted between the trenches. The following day, British and German soldiers met in no man’s land and exchanged gifts, took pictures and some even played football. It was a rare but magic moment of peace and harmony in the midst of one of the most atrocious events in the 20th century. Today, Swedish metal heroes SABATON release a song about this outstanding event that is known today as “Christmas Truce”.
