AVATAR release limited edition blood-filled ‘Afterbirth’ vinyl this Halloween


The heavy metal ‘n’ roll, dark, madcap visionaries collectively known as AVATAR, are releasing a limited edition Halloween-inspired collector’s vinyl version of their latest album Dance Devil Dance, out now. Only 250 numbered and hand-crafted copies of the blood-filled ‘Afterbirth’ vinyl will be produced. 

The packaging will include an additional standard red opaque vinyl; a 2-pocket silver board gatefold; 24-page photo book; and an autographed 5×7 post card. The vinyl will be exclusive for purchase to Avatar Country Citizens on Halloween (31st October). Any remaining pieces will be available for purchase for everyone on the band’s website starting on Friday 3rd November.

Paramount+ today announced that the new docuseries GEDDY LEE ASKS: ARE BASS PLAYERS HUMAN TOO? will premiere exclusively on the service Tuesday, December 5, in the U.S. and Canada and the following day in the U.K., Australia, Latin America, Brazil, Italy, France, Germany, Switzerland and Austria. 
 
Produced by Banger Films and MTV Entertainment Studios, in GEDDY LEE ASKS: ARE BASS PLAYERS HUMAN TOO? famed Rush bassist Geddy Lee travels to the homes of some of music’s most renowned bass players and digs into the stories that make these musicians stand out. A follow-up to his recent book, “Geddy Lee’s Big Beautiful Book of Bass,” the new 4-part series features episodes with Krist Novoselic (Nirvana), Les Claypool (Primus), Melissa Auf der Maur (Hole, Smashing Pumpkins) and Rob Trujillo (Metallica).

CHILDREN OF BODOM announce final album of their career

MALEVOLENCE UK headline tour has sold out + new club dates announced for spring 2024


Malevolence, the UK’s reigning champs of contemporary metal, have completely sold out next month’s UK headline tour dates. Those dates will kick off on November 7th with support coming from SylosisGuilt Trip and Justice For The Damned.

Off of the back of that big news, Malevolence are pleased to announce a new 11-date UK club tour for February 2024, also tipped to completely sell out. They will be joined on the road by Pain Of Truth and Rough Justice.
