Nighon released a new video with a strong message!

Nighon released a second single “The Dirge” from their upcoming album “The Somme” which is released May 5th 2017 by Inverse Records.

“We have released a new video with a strong message. The song “The Dirge” raises the question: “Why do we have wars?”. They are horrible and the majority of mankind seems to despise it. The song was inspired by the annexation of Crimea, the Vietnam war and the Korean war. Björn: “The lyrics I wrote tells us about the consequences of letting our hate spin out of control, and when governments twist lies into truths to justify war!”

 

Their first single/music video “The Greatest of Catastrophes” is a blend of the outbreak of World War I and the Ukraine crisis. The music video was filmed during the winter 2016 by Kasper Dalkarl, David Viklund and Stephanie Blomqvist. Listen to it on Spotify.

Groundbreaking art-rock performer, author and spoken word artist OTEP shook things up at SXSW this past weekend by dropping her latest artistic protest of mounting regressive political actions. OTEP took a further stand for equal rights with the world premiere of her empowering new music video for the heavy, rap-influenced track “Equal Rights Equal Lefts”.
Fans at Colours Couture’s SXSW fashion showcase presented by 3Thirteen Entertainment Group this weekend were treated to the video (directed by Aleks Rastovic) for the first time during OTEP‘s headlining set. The “Equal Rights Equal Lefts” video and track further solidify OTEP‘s diligent quest for equality: “I wrote this song to celebrate and empower all people to live their authentic selves, to live their truth, and to fight for their right to exist. Every day the LGBTQ community faces bigotry, bullying, ridicule and legislative attacks. We are not “the other”. Rising stars Courtesans have been invited to perform live at the UK’s number one metal festival, Bloodstock Open Air, at Catton Park, Derbyshire this Summer.  Courtesans play the Sophie Lancaster stage on Sunday the 13th of August 2017.
Demonstrating musical diversity and making waves with their forthcoming new EP ‘Better Safe Than Sober’, this extraordinary band joins an extraordinary bill which includes Amon Amarth, Megadeth, Skindred, Arch Enemy, Hatebreed, Testament, King 810 and many more.
Courtesans vocalist Sinead La Bella says, “To perform at Bloodstock is incredible exciting. It’s a huge honour to play the Sophie Lancaster Stage, her legacy is at the heart of our ethics. NORTHLANE UNVEIL NEW VIDEO FOR ‘CITIZEN’

Northlane have today released their new single ‘Citizen’, which was recorded by David Bendeth (Bring Me The Horizon, A Day To Remember, Paramore) at his studio in New Jersey. The video for ‘Citizen’ was filmed by Jason Eshragian. The track premiered as a world exclusive on the Radio 1 Rock show and the video is now live.

“Citizen is a song that was written about the first world police state and our willingness to live under the watch of those in power, for their means, while those who blow the lid on it suffer,” explains Northlane guitarist Josh Smith. “Writing this one was quite a mission – it took a lot of work but we are proud of it and beyond excited to share it with you all.”

The track was initially teased via a Chatbot on Facebook identifying itself as Citizen 10 days ago. The bot then led users down various paths while enquiring whether or not they were the elusive Mr Snow while delivering exclusive content depending on their responses; to date, the bot has been interacted with by thousands of people all over the world.

‘Citizen’ follows on from previous track ‘Intuition’ which was revealed as a surprise gift for fans during their headline set at UNIFY 2017. Northlane will continue to hit festival stages throughout 2017 with appearances on the main stage at Download Festival (UK) and Hellfest (France). The band will also appear at Vainstream Rockfest (Germany), Jera On Air (Netherlands), Graspop (Belgium), Dissonance Festival (Italy), Rock For The People (Czech Republic), Resurrection (Spain) Hammersonic (Indonesia) as well as Big Pineapple Music Festival in Australia.
