VALLENFYRE – announce release date and reveal cover for “Fear Those Who Fear Him”!

Crusty Death/Doom outfit VALLENFYRE has set June 2nd, 2017 as release date for its third album, “Fear Those Who Fear Him”, via Century Media Records.

Recorded by the band’s new core line-up consisting of Gregor Mackintosh (vocals and guitar), Hamish Glencross (guitar and bass) and Waltteri Väyrynen (drums), “Fear Those Who Fear Him” was once again produced by Kurt Ballou (Converge,Nails,etc.) at GodCity Studio in Salem, MA and mastered by Brad Boatright (Obituary, Beastmilk, YOB) at Audiosiege Mastering in Portland, OR. The cover artwork was created by Hal Rotter / rottinggraphics.com.

Greg Mackintosh comments: “Most bands refine their sound over the first 2 or 3 albums. Becoming more technically adept and honing their craft. VALLENFYRE have done almost exactly the opposite. We have devolved, made things simpler and crush most of the melody under swathes of rotting noise. From “A Fragile King” to “Splinters” and now to “Fear Those Who Fear Him”, we have become more savage, more raw and less compromising!”

“Fear Those Who Fear Him” will be released as Gatefold LP+CD on limited coloured and regular black 180 gram vinyl, as Special Edition Digipak (international version), Jewelcase CD (Canada, USA, Mexico only) and on all digital / streaming platforms. Dodecahedron stream new album in full

DODECAHEDRON are premiering their complete critically acclaimed forthcoming album ‘kwintessens’, which has been scheduled for release March 17th.

DODECAHEDRON comment: “We are very pleased to finally show you our full musical narrative that is ‘kwintessens’. It tells a story about enlightenment, megalomania and visions getting out of hand. As with all stories concerning man, this one will also end in an obliterating tragedy. Hierophant about to embark on UK tour

HIEROPHANT will be kicking off their UK tour with a warm-up gig in the Netherlands tonight. The deadly Italian misanthropes will be supported by ABSOLVE and ROTT ‘N DAMNED at the Bibelot Poppodium in Dordrecht.

This showcase will immediately be followed by an assault on England. London will be hit first at The Lounge 666, tomorrow 17th of March. And after wrecking Leeds, Bristol, and Hull the final curtain will drop at The Westcoast Bar in Canterbury on March 21st.

HIEROPHANT commented: “We are very stoked to hit the road again. We can be nothing but grateful for all the support we got lately. Mark your date in the calendar and see you in the grave!”

Carach Angren reveal first new track and details of forthcoming album

The Dutch masters of horror are back with their most flamboyant album so far. On ‘Dance and Laugh amongst the Rotten’, CARACH ANGREN are painting musical pictures that easily combine the grandiose depth of a Rembrandt with Van Gogh’s maelstrom of whirling colours and the utter madness of Bosch. This lusciously seductive danse macabre will drag you in and never let go.

CARACH ANGREN are now unveiling the first stunning track of their forthcoming new album. The Dutch masters of horror metal have entitled their new haunting ‘Dance and Laugh amongst the Rotten’ and the release date has been slated for June 16th.

CARACH ANGREN comment: “After months of hard work we proudly reopen the doors to our haunted mansion to reveal the first deadly taste of our upcoming concept album. THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA Reveal “Amber Galactic” Album Covers, Track Listing & Formats

Swedish classic/progressive rock supergroup THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA – featuring members of metal frontrunners Soilwork and Arch Enemy – have revealed the album cover artworks for their forthcoming third studio album, Amber Galactic, which is scheduled to be released on May 19, 2017 via Nuclear Blast. Singer Björn Strid states: “Amber Galactic” is a relationship drama set in space, the first classic rock space opera on double vinyl. As seasoned musicians, we’re taking this project seriously, although we might come across as slightly retrofuturistic at times, there’s no irony involved. It’s just us trying to shape our future into a place where our race is led by female space commanders with pearl necklaces and a quasar sense of gravity. “Amber Galactic” is about setting free from genre boundaries and expectations that are put on people like us. We just want to create music that we would like to hear ourselves, but that isn’t only for us.

 

THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA is here to set you free, to invite you to enjoy music in whatever form it is presented. For this particular journey, we’d like you to follow us into space, but who knows where we’ll go next! After entering the NFO universe, you won’t ever be the same!”

When asked about the direction of NFO within the realm of classic rock, Strid explains with a chuckle: “Most other classic rock bands sound like weed or LSD – we sound like cocaine.”

Amber Galactic was recorded at Handsome Hard Studio in Lund, Sweden. The album follows THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA‘s two previous releases, 2012’s Internal Affairsand 2015’s Skyline Whispers.

American Standards Announce New Album; Drop “Writers Block Party” Music Video

Chaotic hardcore quartet, American Standards have announced their upcoming full length titled, Anti-Melody which is set to release April 28th on all digital music outlets. Off the forthcoming record comes the first single “Writers Block Party“, giving a good glimpse into the group’s new record. The new single premiered exclusively on Lambgoat.

“What started as social commentary on the growing divide in our society became very personal when our founding guitarist (Cody Conrad) passed of suicide and then soon after, my father of cancer. We went back in to re-write much of the album and in a lot of ways used it as therapy to deal with the experiences. Although very personal, at its core Anti-Melody is centered around the universal theme of separation on many levels.” -Vocalist, Brandon Kellum
