More Bands Added to Mammothfest UK 2017 Line-up!

Having recently made the first Mammothfest 2017 announcement, which included one of the headliner acts, Rotting Christ from Greece to play a UK exclusive show at the festival, with main support from Norwegian band, Tsjuder. Other acts added in the first reveal were Meta-stasis, Bleed Again, Lagerstein and OHHMS. The festival add another wave of acts to the bill, including Hole In The Sky who make their return after their 2014 appearance. The bands frontman, Rik Moskera sadly lost his life to brain cancer and the festival paid tribute by naming a stage in his honour the Rikstock stage, a platform for upcoming emerging artists. The festival has always prided itself for supporting local and underground acts, giving them the chance to play amongst heavyweights such as Rotting Christ and in the past, Textures, Venom Inc, Sylosis, Onslaught and many more.
Other bands added are Materia, Kill All The Gentlemen, Synaptik, Heathen Deity, Necronautical, Negative Measures, Rotten Foxes and Guttural Carnage.
Many more acts are to be announced including two headliners.

Mammothfest will take place on October 6-8th 2017 at The Arch, Brighton.

EPHEMERALD Signed with Rockshots Records! First Lyric Video ” I bear Fire”

New Finnish Metal Phenomenon EPHEMERALD has signed a deal with Rockshots Records regarding the release of their debut single “I Bear Fire”.

EPHEMERALD is a metal band from Finland, formed in the autumn 2016 by Joni Snoro (ex-Frosttide), Lauri Myllylä (ex-Frosttide), Vesa Salovaara (Vorna) and Juho Suomi (Apocryfal & Prayed and Betrayed). Their music can be described as straightforward, fast-paced, epic and melodic metal music accompanied by huge orchestrations and both clean and harsh vocals.

YAYLA Releases “Pas.to.rale” via Merdümgiriz Records

YAYLA is back with its fifth full-length “Pas.to.rale”, the first release from this ambient black metal act in four years.

Released by Merdümgiriz Records on February 5th, 2017, the project from multi-instrumentalist Emir Toğrul presents a heavy fusion of ambient and metal, and after the departure from the monotonous sound of the now cult trilogy, “Pas.to.rale” sees YAYLA sounding more dynamic, oppressive and hypnotic than ever before, and while there are countless influences from different styles and techniques, this album is surprisingly tight and unified.

YAYLA’s Emir Toğrul comments: «”Pas.to.rale” takes many forms with lengthy instrumental tracks, from synth driven string ensemble ambiences to psychedelic guitar tracks, to “traditional” black and death metal songs with very unconventional structures fused with synths. The YAYLA concept is at its pinnacle in “Pas.to.rale”, with the name of the band and our whole concept of nature based metal music coming to an alchemical home as we delve back into our roots after all these years of adventures as VIRANESIR and BLIGHTED in an ironic existential absurdity. It’s a tale of dungeon style atmosphere, relentless black metal, nostalgic overdose and musical hypnosis.»

As with all his work on Merdümgiriz Records, each copy of “Pas.to.rale” CD, Tape, t-shirt and patch will be handmade in the artisanal style. Emir paints the discs, cuts and inserts the prints for the jewel case and jacket, making all non-machined parts from scratch. VATICAN from the Cleveland, Ohio Area can be considered as what is widely called a “US Metal Cult Band“.

Between 1986 and 1990 only four demos had been released along with a compilation album in 2014 which nowadays are masterpieces for aficionados. Since 2011 the band is active again, and have been playing concerts throughout the Midwest and East coast of America.

Now for the first time, the long awaited full studio album of new material entitled „March Of The Kings“ is finished. Classical US Power/Heavy Metal with pounding double bass, poisonous sharp high pitched vocals and soaring guitar solos and a nice portion „old school metal style“; fanciers will love it.
