The era of the vertical video is here and Las Vegas Rockers, THE NOCTURNAL AFFAIR, are living in the future with their new music video for “It’s No Good”. THE NOCTURNAL AFFAIR is stepping up as one of the first bands in the world to film a music video vertically. The 9:16 format used by THE NOCTURNAL AFFAIR signifies the rise of vertical video on social media, and the inevitable shift to come for music videos. Thinking and acting forward, THE NOCTURNAL AFFAIR hopes to kickstart the new wave of integrating vertical formats with “It’s No Good”.
With only two weeks to go until the mighty Download Festival, the sold out 20th anniversary celebration has unleashed its District X line up, as well as announcing special collaborations for this year. Boasting secret band sets, live podcasts, late night DJ sets and a comedy line up on the Wednesday night, the special four-day edition is set to be jam-packed. Taking place on 8-11 June 2023 at the hallowed grounds of Donington Park, Download will be headlined by Bring Me The Horizon, Slipknot and Metallica, who will perform two headline sets with no repeat songs. Today TYPE O NEGATIVE is unveiling a darkly captivating treat for World Goth Day! Immerse yourself in the ethereal realm of ‘Halloween in Heaven‘ as A.I. breathes new life into the track. Written by the band for their friend Dimebag Darrell, the video features Dimebag alongside John Bonham, John Entwistle, Bon Scott, Randy Rhoads, Jimi Hendrix, John Lennon, George Harrison, Jim Morrison, Elvis and the Green Man himself, Peter Steele. Fans of the band will also spot a cameo from collaborator and friend of the band, Tara VanFlower (LYCIA).
Metal titans KREATOR have released a video for the song ‘Conquer And Destroy‘ from their highly acclaimed latest album, Hate Über Alles. The live footage was filmed on March 4th, 2023 in front of 6000 of the band’s mighty Hordes in their spiritual home of Essen. This very special show at Grugahalle not only featured a career-spanning KREATOR set list full of neckbreakers and beloved anthems, but also visually stunning high-end production solidifying the event as an unforgettable night for everyone in attendence. From opener ‘Hate Über Alles‘ all the way through to the final encore of ‘Pleasure To Kill‘, the performance was a maelstrom of mosh pits and raised fists.
Friday 19th May 2023 will see Def Leppard release their new album “Drastic Symphonies” through Mercury Records. The band also play their most intimate UK/European show in 35 years, a homecoming show at The Leadmill, Sheffield.
