Finnish WACKEN METAL BATTLE winner ‘FROM THE VOID’ released their brutal music video ‘MAN CREATED GOD’.
Formed in the early winter of 2009, FROM THE VOID is a black metal group from northern Finland bringing forth their gospel of the end times, fire, light, ashes and truth.

The second single off the debut album of Jyväskylä, Finland -based metal group NEMECIC is out. ”Ouroboros” is the second taste from the album ”The Deathcantation”, which will be released August 18th (Finland) and September 1st (internationally) through Inverse Records.
Like the previous single ”Smoke Electric”, the new song is accompanied by a lyric video by Anssi Korhonen with artwork by the band’s drummer Niko Anttila.
Founded in Heinola in 2005, Nemecic combines elements of different metal genres in their music. Comparisons have been made to such groups as Lamb of God, Fear Factory and even Alice in Chains. Having entered a hiatus in 2012 and after going through a couple of changes in the lineup, the band finally entered Juho Räihä‘s SoundSpiral Audio studio in Kouvola in January 2017.

Messenger of Finnish melancholy and sorrow Hautajaisyö (Funeral Night) released a new single today July 19th 2017 via Inverse Records. This is the second single from the upcoming second album. New single is called ”Vain Tuhkasi Sinusta Muistuttaa” (only your ashes reminds of you) and it tells a sad story of a final goodbye. It’s one of the saddest songs from the band, but still keeps the band’s rough touch. Beautiful melodic guitars mixed with low growling vocalist gives this song a unique atmosphere. Finnish alternative metal quintet SKEIN released a first single ‘BOUND’ from their upcoming second album named ‘DEADWEIGHT’.
Assembled with the invaluable help of producer Tuomas Kokko (Ghost Brigade, Swallow the Sun etc.), the album moves dynamically across different soundscapes, reaching from crushingly heavy guitar riffs to more etheric, atmospheric parts.
Unlike their debut album ‘Of Wings Unfolding’, which was a concept album with a strong narrative and a storyline (strengthened by a novel published alongside the physical copy) the songs on ‘Deadweight’ stand on their own. Delivered with both screaming and clean vocals, the songs explore issues from misuse of power and societal responsibility to basic human characteristics, with very personal experiences. Due the rawness and personal approach, the album is the strongest emotional outburst of Skein’s career.
