lbany-based hardcore band DOWNSWING will release their new EP, Dark Side of the Mind, on November 10 via Rise Records. The band has just shared the video for the new track “Enough.” Watch it here or by clicking on the player above.

“‘Enough‘ is about identifying who you are and what you stand for, with or against the world. Personal growth is a common theme amongst the five tracks of DSOTM. We hope you enjoy these songs just as much as we enjoyed making them. EAST COAST TRASH. SWING STYLE FOREVER,” the band said about the song and the EP.

STORMBRINGER release their new third album ‘Born A Dying Breed‘ on November 3rd.

Their monster third album ‘Born A Dying Breed’ will be released on 3rd Nov and it sees the band really ramping things up a notch, huge chunky hard rock tracks intermingled with some sublime songs showcasing their lighter touch, this truly is a fabulous album and should see them rise through the ranks with speed.

Northants rockers STORMBRINGER formed in summer 2011 when founding members Jon Quantrill, Dom Wallace, Ash Smith and Darren McCullagh got together to write and create what would become the 2013 debut album ‘MMXIII’, recorded with vocalist Mike Stockley. A mix of classic rock and heavy metal with a contemporary edge saw Stormbringer quickly set themselves apart.

PARAGON COLLAPSE to release The Dawning on Loud Rage Music

Iasi, Romania based ensemble Paragon Collapse announce the release of their debut full-length album,The Dawning, in collaboration with Loud Rage Music. The release date is yet to be announced, but in the meantime the band presents The Endless Dream, a first track taken off The Dawning, inviting everyone to discover their own shape of Doom Metal, psychedelic, atmospheric and progressive:

Here’s what Catalin Doru (Dark Bombastic Evening), a respected figure in this field, had to say about the band: “Paragon Collapse‘s music left me speachless: Progressive Atmospheric Doom Metal with echoes of Mandylion, or the first Madder Mortem, or even the old Atrox. Some will think these are bombastic comparisons, but give them a listen and it’s impossible you won’t be surprised by the female vocals, or by the violin… or by anything else.”

Disclarity – Ghosts

Finnish metalcore act Disclarity has released a new single “Ghosts”. The band just returned from it’s two weeks and 12 shows tour from central Europe. And what would be better time to release some fresh material?

Band comments the new single:
“The single Ghosts differs from Disclaritys earlier production with its faster tempo and cruel and oppressive atmosphere. Lyrics dive into human addictions, self-deception and disappointment. From these ruins rises up almost popish/mainstream atmosphere of the chorus.

Already when making the demo of this song, we had a feeling that this single was going to be something very different. And so it happened, the song became a turbocharged epic masterpiece! Si’l vous blaît!”

Zephyra returns with a new single ‘The Darkest Black’

Zephyra has returned with their melodic death metal sound to release a new single, “The Darkest Black.”

“The Darkest Black” is released through Inverse Records and builds a bridge between their second album, the critically acclaimed “As the World Collapses,” and the progress of writing and recording a third one. Once again the band has worked with Micke Andersson at MRG Studios (Borås) for recording and producing, and with Christian Donaldson at The Grid (Montreal) for the mix and master works; a superb team as showcased on the last album.

Zephyra has released two full-length albums, both critically acclaimed. Their second album, “As The World Collapses,” has had one high scoring review after another.

With this newest single, Zephyra shows that they are a band to reckon with!
