Norwegian melodic death metal powerhouse Sublime Eyes unleash “Emperor’s Mountain”, the third single taken from the band’s forthcoming full-length, IV: The Serpent’s Coil, due out September 5, 2025, via Wormholedeath.
A thunderous descent into legend, “Emperor’s Mountain” sees Norwegian melodic death metal force Sublime Eyes summon the brutal legacy of a ruler forged in fire and blood. With razor-sharp riffs, cinematic intensity, and lyrics steeped in Carpathian myth, the track pays homage to a feared protector and merciless tyrant — a hero to some, a horror to others.
Mork’s Rota Til Ondskap is a collection of raw, unfiltered demo tracks that pay homage to the pioneers of Norwegian black metal. Originally recorded in 2007, these early and primal works capture the formative stages of Thomas Eriksen’s creative vision for Mork, embodying the raw energy and atmosphere that would define the band’s sound.
Previously available only on vinyl and bootleg CD release, Rota Til Ondskap now sees its first official CD release through Peaceville. Drawing inspiration from black metal icons, Eriksen’s compositions channel the spirit of the genre’s early days. The release is characterised by his distinctive take on black metal riffing, twisted melodic passages and an atmosphere of thick, hellish chaos.
Pioneers of a sound that changed the world. Lifelong disciples of suspense and mystery. An enigmatic duo like no other, hell-bent onhaunting souls through the eternities. There are many things Darkthronehave been called since forming in 1986 and these are but a few, having drawn from a creative well so potent and powerful it turned them into one of Norway’s biggest musical exports. It’s been quite the journey, having won cryptic pair Nocturno and Fenriz legions of loyal fans around the world. This tradition will only continue with latest masterpiece It Beckons Us All.
