ANTI-FLAG ANNOUNCE ALBUM DETAILS + NEW SONG

Anti-Flag’s new studio album, American Fall, follows 2015’s well-received American Spring. With Good Charlotte’s Benji Madden on board as co-producer, the band has intensified their signature anthemic style with bigger melodies, tighter songcraft, and thicker guitars.

American Fall is bold – both musically and politically – and Anti-Flag’s time is now.

With Anti-Flag, a new album is always a call to arms and a call to action that reminds listeners to question everyone and everything, including the current administration.

American Fall arrives on November 3 via Spinefarm Records and as expected, it addresses issues facing America and the world today like only Anti-Flag can.

Ahead of the album’s release, the band has shared the new song + video ‘American Attraction.’ Listen to and watch it

THEIA release new single ‘Home’

IMG_8735c

THEIA have released their new single ‘Home’ on 18th August 2017.

This track is simply wonderful, a feather light touch from Kyle & the boys, a song brimful of lilting melodies, acoustic guitars and soaring emotions, really something rather special.

Hailing from the heart of England’s ale brewing capital, on the edge of the National Forest, Burton-on-Trent three-piece, THEIA, have harnessed the rugged terrain of the Peak District to bring the world their blend of hard rock n roll. It’s a classic rock feel for the modern era, played with a smile on it’s face.

Quote from the band about ‘Back In Line’:
“We’re so proud and excited to bring this album into people’s lives – simply because it’s been such a huge part of our own lives! Back In Line has brought about a big step up in our songwriting and storytelling process… it feels like this album is tearing its way out of the speakers, grabbing you by the ears and demanding that you rock from the first moment to the last! You’ve taken the pill; now get back in line!”

Shooting Guns album ‘Flavour Country’ streaming in full

Canada’s award-nominated psych 6-piece Shooting Guns stream their new album ‘Flavour Country’ today via Bandcamp and YouTube

Shooting Guns is known (and oft-nominated) for their film soundtrack work, but Flavour Country is more like a collection of anthems for your jettison from this universe into the multiverse.
While they’re known for heavy and saturated sounds befitting crazed horror-comedy flicks like Netflix hit WolfCopFlavour Country features some of the band’s fastest, heaviest and most visceral material to date. Yet, it also features some of the band’s most atmospheric sounds as well.

At times there are slight hints of Ennio Morricone‘s Spaghetti Western twang amidst the looping Meddle-era Pink Floyd heavy psych and driving drone reminiscent of Bobby Beausoleil‘s belladonna laced soundtrack to Kenneth Anger‘s Lucifer Rising. But for the most part here, Shooting Guns is out for blood, regardless of tempo.

Album opener “Ride Free” kicks off with a blistering wall of guitars blaring and rattling out of the gate like mutant progeny to fellow Canadian biker-rock heroes Steppenwolf having duly fired all of the guns, exploded into space and returned to hunt down every last one of us. It accelerates from there: “French Safe” sounds like an unhinged battalion of musicians driving full throttle like a scene from a George MillerRoad Warrior movie. Biting, lengthier tracks like “Simian Shelf” and the title track occupy the heavy end of the psychedelic spectrum, haunting the foggy moor between early, bluesy Sabbath-styled doom riffery and heavy pulse-riding kraut-rock.

New single is called ”Vain Tuhkasi Sinusta Muistuttaa” (only your ashes reminds of you) and it tells a sad story of a final goodbye. It’s one of the saddest songs from the band, but still keeps the band’s rough touch. Beautiful melodic guitars mixed with low growling vocalist gives this song a unique atmosphere. This song has been a hit in live shows and there have been many tears in the audience. Continue reading HAUTAJAISYÖ Released a second single from their upcoming album “Matkalla Kohti Hautaan”.
