Canadian sci-fi metal innovators VOÏVOD are celebrating 40 eventful years of existence in 2023 with the release of their special anniversary studio album entitled Morgöth Tales, out now via Century Media Records. The band have shared a music video for the album’s title track ‘Morgöth Tales’, streaming now.
The UK’s heavy metal machine SYLOSIS unveils the title track of their brand-new album, ‘A Sign Of Things To Come’. The new song speaks from Josh Middleton’s position as a new father and his fears of the world that his children will one day inherit.
Josh comments “‘A Sign Of Things To Come’ is a declaration of dismay towards the modern world. It’s about the anxiety of what the future holds and the feeling of division in a society where everyone is pitted against each other. This was the last song to be written for the album. It quickly became apparent that this was going to be one of the biggest, most anthemic songs on the record.”
Guitarist Jason Hook is storming out of the gates with his new band FLAT BLACK. The former Five Finger Death Punch guitarist has recruited a trio of young and talented turks, and the band has signed with Fearless Records for its debut album, the details of which are TBA. The album was recorded at his home studio in Las Vegas and produced by Hook.
Sink me! The notorious pirates YE BANISHED PRIVATEERS offer a precious surprise from their treasury in the form of the brand new, catchy standalone single, “Mates Together”. Fighting side by side and ruling over the seven seas, the Swedish sea-pillagers celebrate an incredible blood bond of 15 years! SCAR SYMMETRY have revealed the video for ‘Xenotaph’, taken from their latest album, The Singularity (Phase II – Xenotaph). For ‘Xenotaph’, SCAR SYMMETRY enlisted the help of The Ultraterrestrial Choir – a 233 voice strong ensemble consisting of fans, friends and family from all over the world; with each choir member multitracked the resulting recording consists of literally thousands of vocal tracks!
