Swedish war machine, SABATON, is currently touring the world in support of their latest studio record titled The Last Stand (August 19, 2016 via Nuclear Blast) and also holding #1 (The Last Stand), #7 (Carolus Rex; on the top for 248 (!) weeks in a row now), #9 (Heroes), and #17 (The Art Of War) in the Swedish Top 20 rock charts. After hitting the charts worldwide with The Last Stand last year (#6 World; #1 in Finland, Sweden, Switzerland and Germany among others), the band was recently honored with new plaques for their impressive album sales: The Last Stand achieved Gold in the band’s homeland Sweden and in Poland. Their previous studio album, Heroes, was even platinum-certified in Sweden! On March 4, the band had already been honored with golden plaques for The Last Stand‘s sales in the Czech Republic at Tipsport Arena, Prague.
Bassist Pär Sundström commented: “This is proof of two things – first, that we are still able to make music that fans want to listen to, and second, that we have fantastic fans who really care. Sure, the current tour is called “The Last Tour”, but as long as it is going like this we’ll be going strong for a long time.”
SABATON will kick off their North American “The Last Tour” headlining trek in just under one month! The band is touring in support of their highly-acclaimed eighth album, The Last Stand. Detroit based rock band Kaleido has released the third single, “Die Tryin,” off of their upcoming debut album, Experience. Recorded at The Pipeyard Studio in Plymouth, MI, Experience is due to release May 19th, 2017.

The Romanian doom/death metal masters from SINCARNATE have just released a
lyric video for the song Curriculum Mortis:
The song Curriculum Mortis comes from the album In Nomine Homini that will
be released on 1st of April by Hatework. Recorded during June – September
2016 at the Consonance Studio in Timisoara, to Edmond Karban and Cristian
Popescu (both members of Dordeduh and former members of Negura Bunget) who
along with Andrei Jumuga have produced, mixed and mastered the album.
SINCARNATE – In Nomine Homini will be available as a 6-fold digipak, with
a 16 pages booklet but also as an extended version with a different
graphic presentation and two bonus-tracks. The extended version will be
also available in a very limited box-set edition hand-crafted by
traditional carpenters and cast iron craftsmen, containing specific
artefacts to the concept proposed by the band in this new material.

This year’s headliners include Boston’s tech death / thrash titans REVOCATION, Vancouver’s reggae-metal fusion NINJASPY, Canadian 80’s thrash legends AGGRESSION and the Broken Neck Radio people’s choice winner GOLERS among many more from across the country. Situated in the Okanagan Valley with the beautiful backdrop of the Rocky Mountains, ARMSTRONG METALFEST, now in its ninth year, is British Columbia’s largest gathering of metalheads from across Western Canada and beyond.

The new Nocte Obducta album “Totholz (Ein Raunen aus dem Klammwald)”, which already available on the band’s live shows, will be officially released on May 26th. The successor to last year’s “Mogontiacum (Nachdem die Nacht herabgesunken …)” features 7 songs with a playing time of 42 minutes and will be available on a limited vinyl edition.
“Totholz (Ein Raunen aus dem Klammwald)” sets itself as a logic continuation from the work done on the band’s previous effort, “Mogontiacum”. Here, Nocte Obducta close the circle to their musical roots and deliver a rough piece of metal with the band’s typic harmonies.
