Swedish metal heroes AMARANTHE continue to showcase their versatility and eclectic musical taste. After having released a beautiful orchestral version of their power ballad ‘Crystalline‘ and a flamenco-tinged acoustic rendition of their banger ‘Adrenaline‘, they are now following up with a “cinematic” version of their hit single ‘Strong‘ on which heavy guitars make way for atmospheric synth layers and orchestral arrangements, giving the song a more laid-back and enchanting, theatrical feel. Metalcore pioneers KILLSWITCH ENGAGE are set to headline the Ronnie James Dio main stage on Friday, their first ever appearance at the festival. Meanwhile, thrash legends MEGADETH will close out proceedings in spectacular style on Sunday night. Other confirmed main stage bands include DEVILDRIVER, FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY, KNOCKED LOOSE, DECAPITATED and GATECREEPER.
Heavy horror punk icon WEDNESDAY 13 has slithered his way to the top of the horrendous heights of rock, punk and metal with his electrifying solo music and as frontman of renowned horror punk supergroup Murderdolls, amassing a colossal cult-following along the way. On October 7, 2022, the undisputed harbinger of metal horror returns, following up on 2019’s acclaimed Necrophaze (#2 US Heatseekers) with Horrifier – a brand new slathering of 11 terrifyingly grim and groovy anthems to get blood pumping and brains melting!
Coheed and Cambria shared the official music video for their new single “A Disappearing Act.” The song finds frontman Claudio Sanchez swapping his signature Gibson Explorer for a synthesizer that blasts a mighty dance riff. Directed by Max Moore, the video sees Coheed and Cambria whipping up a high energy dance party in the underground lair of the villain Candelaria from their new album and story, “Vaxis – Act II: A Window of the Waking Mind” – watch it HERE.
