Foscor release drum play-through video and update European tour

In advance of their forthcoming tour, FOSCOR are now streaming a drum play-through for the track “De Marges I Matinades”, which is taken from the band’s fifth full-length, ‘Les Irreals Visions’ (out since June 9th). The clip can be viewed at the link below.

FOSCOR vocalist Fiar comments: “The song title refers to life’s opportunities when we are taken to our limits. The image of a new dawn at the edge of the world speaks of a personal struggle, and how after suffering we should be able to see a door to open at the corner. There is also a sort of challenge for the drums… well, the result speaks for itself about our privilege of having Jordi F. taking care of them.”
Drummer Jordi F. adds: “A song, which from a personal and technical standpoint, required an extra effort in order to create a rhythmic base that could fit the in-crescendo dynamics of the song. On an almost constant syncopated leitmotiv, placing the right amount of strength and cymbal hits to make them commune with the music was almost fully improvised – and hence an interesting exercise. Every time, I listen to or play this song, I feel like adding something new.”

Animae Silantes’ “Suffocation” is out today via Sliptrick Records

Dark/gothic Italian metal band Animae Silentes hit the streets with their new album, Suffocated, released via Sliptrick Records in all regular formats worldwide. The important topics of the album are about the difficult and overwhelming moments we face, of love and hope for better days in the future.

The general sound of Suffocated is a constant roller coaster between dark, calm moments sung in a low and soft voice interjected with powerful, heavy and intense sections with higher, more emotive vocals and melodic, powerful instrumental parts. The main songwriter of the Suffocated album is Alessandro Sonato “Ramon” while the band helped to refine the songs in rehearsals and during the studio recording.

Sliptrick Records set US release date for CARNAC “Times Undone”

CARNAC “Times Undone” to be released in USA on September 30 via Sliptrick records.

Turkish progressive death metal band Carnac return with 9 hard and heavy tracks on their new album, Times Undone. This is an intense and guttural experience, greatly expanding on the bands original sound and marks another step in the constant evolution of the 5 members of the group. The recent lyrics video for Cessation, the opening track for the album, is an excellent example of where Carnac are heading and great way to kick start the album.

Times Undone takes on the story of a daughter escaping with her father from the invasion of their land by hordes, while gradually losing her friends and loved ones to sacrifice, rape and much more. The 46-minute effort blends death metal and black metal in a progressive manner. It also sees the band adapt a much darker sound.

Nebula to reissue ‘Let it Burn’, ‘To The Center’ & ‘Dos EPs’ on Heavy Psych Sounds

unnamed (20)

Heavy Psych Sounds is proud to announce it will work with California fuzz/psych legends Nebulato reissue three of the band’s most landmark offerings. Originally released in 1998, 1999 and 2002, respectively, Let it BurnTo the Center and Dos EPs comprise an essential trilogy for worshipers of riffs and heavy desert rock, and will be made available early in 2018 as special editions to mark the 20th anniversary of the band.

When guitarist/vocalist Eddie Glass joined forces with bassist Mark Abshire and drummer Ruben Romano — both previously of Fu Manchu — they found magic together and no one before and no other band since has been able to capture that sound in the same way, though plenty have tried. With Let it Burn, they established a place for themselves between druggy psych and forward-driving fuzz rock, and as they moved through the subsequent Sun Creature EP, their split with Sweden’s Lowrider and the To the Center full-length the next year, they only grew, progressed and refined this approach into something all the more their own.
