Following much speculation online, BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE and TRIVIUM have revealed details of a huge, joint arena tour at a press conference which was streamed live from London’s Sanctum Hotel. The Poisoned Ascendancy UK Tour 2025 will see both bands celebrating the 20th anniversary of these respective iconic albums, playing them in full.
“I honestly can’t believe it’s been 20 years since the release of The Poison, and what an incredible 20 years it’s been”, says BFMV frontman Matt Tuck. “I feel so proud of what we’ve achieved as a band in the last two decades and it all started with that debut album. ThePoison is such an important part of our lives musically and personally and we know the massive impact it had on the metal world on a global level. This tour will be made even more special as our brothers in Trivium are also joining us on the road to celebrate and play in its entirety their stunning album Ascendancy.”
‘The Serpent and the King’ sees Judas Priest at their heavy metal best, with what is without doubt the most fist pumping track on the album. The single will launch as Apple Music’s New Music Daily along with an exclusive interview with Rob Halford and Zane Lowe. The band have been teasing snippets of the song on socials for over a month, whipping fans into a frenzy for its release.
Anette Olzon, the former powerhouse vocalist of Nightwish and one-half of the dynamic duo behind The Dark Element alongside Jani Liimatainen, is back with her highly anticipated third solo album, “Rapture.”
The first single and accompanying music video, “Heed the Call,” from “Rapture” is out today, offering a tantalizing taste of what’s to come from this highly anticipated release.
Rock legends Papa Roach have scored their 12th career No 1 single with “Leave A Light On (Talk Away The Dark)”, which has climbed steadily at Active Rock Radio since its release in October 2023.
The band first performed “Leave A Light On” during their “The Revolutions Live Tour” in September 2024 to 250,000 people over 30 shows. In each city, the song was preceded by a PSA delivered by frontman Jacoby Shaddix, who pledged a donation to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) on behalf of each city’s attendees, culminating in a $155,000 donation at the end of the tour. The official live video was released in conjunction with the AFSP’s “Talk Away The Dark” campaign with the band pledging a perpetual royalty from the song’s use, in any manner, to the AFSP, continuing their mission to save lives and bring hope to those affected by suicide.
