With only less than two weeks to go until the release of their third studio album, Lilith, Hollywood-based Metal outfit BUTCHERBABIES have released another new track off the upcoming record. The new song, titled “POMONA (Shit Happens)” is perhaps the bands most unhinged and irreverent track to date, and fans who pre-order Lilith will be able to download it as an instant grat. The song is also available for streaming on Spotify at this location.
Lilith is currently available for pre-order through various online retailers and streaming services at http://smarturl.it/BBLilith. The new record comes out October 27th on Century Media Records.
Having just completed a successful run of dates across Eastern Europe on the “Will To Power International Tour”, extreme metal giants ARCH ENEMY are back with another ripping single from their recently released album, “Will To Power”, with the music video single for “The Race”.
Founding member Michael Amott commented: “This was actually the last song written for the ‘Will To Power’ album. Listening through all the material we had up to that point we agreed that the album needed one more song that would be a relentless and fast paced counterpoint to some of the more epic compositions we already had. We sent Alissa the music and she came up with a thought provoking set of lyrics with an intense vocal arrangement that complemented the music perfectly. We’ve been having a blast playing this song on the current tour and we had our video director Patric Ullaeus come out to capture the mayhem at our recent show in Helsinki, Finland… Enjoy ‘The Race’!”
Here it comes, folks! A brand new video of the song “Terror Vision”, taken from DR. LIVING DEAD!’s upcoming studio album “Cosmic Conqueror”, which will be released on October 27th, 2017.
REVIEW: Arch Enemy – Will To Power by Carina Lawrence / Dark Art Conspiracy
Swedish melodic death metallers Arch Enemy are back with their tenth album and follow up to the successful 2014 ‘War Eternal’ which saw new vocalist Alissa White-Gluz’s take to the helm, and was the first album in thirteen years to feature a new line-up after former long-time vocalist Angela Gossow stepped down. The transition went well and she was quickly accepted by fans. With this new album ‘Will To Power’, it is the first album to feature respected guitarist Jeff Loomis who joined in 2014 and notably is the first to incorporate more clean vocals throughout, again showing off Alissa’s wide talents and the evolution of Arch Enemy after their two-decade career.
Opening song ‘Set Flame To The Night’ is a scene setter, with voices and sirens accompanied by resonant fast and alarming guitars that build suspense and foreboding…
‘The Race’ furiously kicks off with Alissa White-Gluz’s fierce screamed vocals and urgent guitars. The guitar work, especially towards the end, carries over the creepy vibes seen in the opener. It features crashing riffs and rapid drums throughout, this is a solid and savage first full offering and sets the bar high.
ARCH ENEMY have revealed the second single, “The Eagle Flies Alone”, taken from their forthcoming album, “Will To Power”, due out on September 8th.
Band leader Michael Amott comments: “Strangely enough, this is a song I wrote in sunny Mexico last year, but fear not – Arch Enemy hasn’t gone Mariachi on you! On the contrary, this song is steeped in classic Metal and melancholic Scandinavian atmosphere. Lyrically, this is an anthemic warcry to all fellow individualists around the Heavy Metal world. We shot the video with our director Patric Ullaeus in Sweden on the coldest outdoor shoot I can recall ever doing! The end result was totally worth it, it turned out beautifully. I guess sometimes you really have to suffer for the art!”
