The hybrid metal band Keoma from Helsinki, Finland founded in 2008, has released their third single called “Mutakuningas” from the upcoming third album. In the song, Keoma combines many sub-genres of metal, heavier expression and a little touch of punk. The difference to the band’s other productions is also the song’s Finnish lyrics.
“When I brought the main riff of the song to practice, the others immediately liked the idea. As the song took shape, the idea of lyrics in Finnish and a political perspective also arose. After all, the song is dedicated to the Finnish government, but we won’t reveal which one. “Mutakuningas” also differs from other productions with its heavier atmosphere, without forgetting the progressive point of view, which is a matter of Keoma‘s heart”, Jasse Jatala, the band’s vocalist, describes.
Keoma’s third album is ready and will be published later. Two other singles from the album, “Contact” and “A New Beginning”, have already been released. Both songs give a great view of the overall sound of the upcoming album.
“We have the band’s best album so far in our pocket. Of course, we would like to let everyone hear it right away, but this will have to wait a little longer to mature. We plan to inform you more about the release later, perhaps with a new single and a music video.” Jatala continues.
Keoma will play a single release show tomorrow 12.9.2024 at On The Rocks, Helsinki, Finland. Expect new songs from the upcoming album and older material. Finnish progressive metal band Oddland will also play at the event. Event Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/events/367172503101465
