Rocking Heels: Live at Metal Church is the document of a very special concert in the idyllic setting of Wacken Church. It will be released on August 11, 2023 on earMUSIC and is the first release of the live series Rocking Heels.
In front of just 300 handpicked fans, this onetime-only event opened the Wacken Open Air Festival in 2016. Tarja presents unique arrangements of rock and heavy metal classics by her favorite artists including “Numb” by Linkin Park, In Flames’ “Alias,” Metallica’s “The Unforgiven,” songs by Joe Satriani and Slipknot, as well as a Nightwish song and Tarja originals.
Coinciding with the release of her first-everĀ Best Of: Living The DreamĀ one week ago,Ā TarjaĀ is being presented with sixĀ Impala awards commemorating more than 250,000 sales in Europe for her albumsĀ Beauty And The Beat,Ā Act II,Ā Luna Park Ride,Ā The Shadow Self,Ā In The Raw,Ā andĀ From Spirits And Ghosts (Score For A Dark Christmas).
To celebrate, Tarja andĀ earMUSICĀ shared the live video for her song “Innocence.”Ā First released on Tarja’s fifthĀ studio albumĀ The Shadow Self, the fan-favorite expresses Tarjaās gratitude towards classical music.
Tarja has chosen this moment in her life to release her first-ever āBest Of: Living The Dreamā.
