SABATON Tell the Story of ‘The Unkillable Soldier’ in New Single
Sometimes, the difference between bravery and insanity is indistinguishable. Over the course of four wars in six decades, Adrian Carton De Wiart proved himself to be the most unkillable soldier of all time. The Belgian-born British Army Officer survived several plane crashes, lost an eye and a hand, sustained eleven grievous injuries: He fully dedicated his life to military services. Whenever there was a war, Adrian Carton De Wiart was there. “Frankly, I had enjoyed the war,” he said – peacefully passing away at the age of 83 in 1963.

SABATON Unleash New Single ‘Soldier Of Heaven’
Between the several battlegrounds of WWI, there was no scene as hostile as the feared alpine front that involved a series of battles at the border between Austria-Hungary and Italy. High above in the alps, men would fight in the most extreme conditions to protect the borders. Today, these fights are infamously known as the so-called “White War”, where many soldiers froze to death or were buried by dangerous avalanches. Their dead bodies remain under the snow to this day.

Multi-Platinum Swedish metal band SABATON today announces the limited-edition, live-in-concert, double-DVD/Blu-Ray, ‘The Great Show’ and ‘The 20th Anniversary Show’ both set for release on November 19th via Nuclear Blast. SABATON Release New Single “Christmas Truce”
December 24th, 1914: Late On Christmas Eve, British Expeditionary Force heard German troops in the trenches opposite them singing Christmas carols and saw lanterns and small fir trees along their trenches. Messages began to be shouted between the trenches.
The following day, British and German soldiers met in no man’s land and exchanged gifts, took pictures and some even played football. It was a rare but magic moment of peace and harmony in the midst of one of the most atrocious events in the 20th century.
Today, Swedish metal heroes SABATON release a song about this outstanding event that is known today as “Christmas Truce”.
